Besides being the much needed boost in the morning, coffee is also being increasingly used as a cosmetic. There are a lot of products that now make use of coffee in order to help you take care of your skin and this is what we will be looking at in this article.

Source Of Antioxidants

CoffeeBerry is a range of patented product that has been developed by VDF FutureCeuticals, Inc. and that make use of the antioxidants properties of the coffee fruit. Research that have been published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry has shown that the antioxidants found in coffee fruit is 25-times higher than those present in coffee powder.

These properties have allowed the development of a whole range of beauty products that is laden with powerful antioxidants in order to keep your skin in good health. Who said that coffee was bad for your health?

Coffee Body Scrub

Coffee is an effective body scrub especially when it comes to dealing with cellulite and varicose veins. In fact it is the caffeine that is present in coffee that helps in redistributing the fat content in our skin thus serving as an effective cellulite remedy. Coffee can also serve as a good astringent which can be instrumental when it comes to acne.

There are a wide variety of commercial body scrubs that are available or you might as well make your own body scrub at home.

Nescafe And Collagen

As part as a growing trend of products known as nutria-cosmetics, Nestle has launched a product that contains collagen. Collagen is a natural protein that is found in body tissue and is already being used in beauty products. Each sachet of Nescafe contains 200 mg of collagen and is at the moment available only in Malaysia and Singapore.

Instead of just getting your daily morning boost from coffee you will also be providing your skin with the necessary ingredient to stay younger.

Interesting article, wish she had mentioned how to make your own coffee scrubs at home. I will have to “Google” that information. I tend to have a lot of coffee grounds available.

I could use some help with cellulite!

    Cheers,

Interesting stuff. I can’t say that I’ve ever looked at my morning espresso and thought of scrubbing down with it, but now I know! :)
