I may have to get back to you on that. I don’t think I can recommend any really good light roasts that aren’t a flavored coffee.

Devon – Mini Markets and coffee, don’t usually go together, but I’m holding out hope that I might find some one day in the future. I’ll admit that I’m more of a medium roast kind of guy, but I’ve had some really good dark roasts. They just seem to be few and far between.

Rose – I’m glad I can help out with that. I’d rather it be my taste buds, than someone else. Itwwas drinkable, but I’ve definitely had better coffee.

I’ve been ruminating on your comments about “burnt taste.” You are definitely not a dark roast kinda guy lol. The darker you roast something, the more “burnt” it’s gonna taste, I would think? Maybe it’s just me, but I kind of like the burnt taste…like, my mom loves burnt cookies and burnt potato chips. The nutty “deep” flavor is tied into the “burnt” flavor with me. I don’t know, it’s hard to describe. I obviously don’t like coffee that’s been brewed and burned on the coffee warmer – THAT tastes blatantly burnt to me. But dark/french/espresso roasts generally speaking don’t taste horrible in a “burnt” way to me – I love it Then again, I haven’t experienced really any “light” roasts, so it’s hard for me to compare.

*adds “light roast coffee” to next evil shopping trip with a friend who can be suckered into it….(lol!!)*

I’m fully shifting any blame to you for making me spend money…I need to go find a good light roast lol.

this among other reasons is why I love your blog. Better you than me trying that 7-11 coffee! btw, sometimes I will be in the car with a friend or sister and they will want to try some drink that you’ve reviewed and I tell them “Mike at Daily shot of coffee says no, and I believe him.”
