I may have to get back to you on that. I don't think I can recommend any really good light roasts that aren't a flavored coffee.

Devon - Mini Markets and coffee, don't usually go together, but I'm holding out hope that I might find some one day in the future. I'll admit that I'm more of a medium roast kind of guy, but I've had some really good dark roasts. They just seem to be few and far between.

*takes out "snob" glasses, puts them on, tips head down to look over the edge at Mike*

I never like any coffee at minit markets.

LOL!

I've been ruminating on your comments about "burnt taste." You are definitely not a dark roast kinda guy lol. The darker you roast something, the more "burnt" it's gonna taste, I would think? Maybe it's just me, but I kind of like the burnt taste...like, my mom loves burnt cookies and burnt potato chips. The nutty "deep" flavor is tied into the "burnt" flavor with me. I don't know, it's hard to describe. I obviously don't like coffee that's been brewed and burned on the coffee warmer - THAT tastes blatantly burnt to me. But dark/french/espresso roasts generally speaking don't taste horrible in a "burnt" way to me - I love it :) Then again, I haven't experienced really any "light" roasts, so it's hard for me to compare.

*adds "light roast coffee" to next evil shopping trip with a friend who can be suckered into it....(lol!!)*

I'm fully shifting any blame to you for making me spend money...I need to go find a good light roast lol.

this among other reasons is why I love your blog. Better you than me trying that 7-11 coffee! btw, sometimes I will be in the car with a friend or sister and they will want to try some drink that you've reviewed and I tell them "Mike at Daily shot of coffee says no, and I believe him."
