About

Daily Shot Of Coffee is your source for everything coffee: coffee reviews, coffee shop reviews and much more. It’s written by the average joe for the coffee lover in us all.

Mike Crimmins, Founder Of Daily Shot Of Coffee

My name is Mike Crimmins and I’ve been a daily coffee drinker since my freshman year of college. (Wow, I feel like I’m at an alcoholics anonymous meeting already). I used coffee to wake up for those 8:30 am classes. I used it to stay up until three or four in the morning for those late night ummm study sessions.

Today, I drink anywhere from a half a pot to an entire pot a day. If I see a coffee shop, it’s a safe bet that I’ll be stopping in.

I’ll admit that I like Starbucks. I know that’s a sin on so many levels but I can’t live without my venti mocha. I’ll also admit that I love Dunkin Donuts. It’s perfect for when I’m running late to work (this is assuming that I didn’t work from home) and it’s excellent when you’re dealing with any size hangover.

While I’m admitting things, I should probably admit that I don’t drink a lot of black coffee. I love my flavored coffee creamers and I like my sugar with some coffee added to it.

I’m pretty much your average coffee drinker. Maybe the only thing that sets me apart is my coffee grinder and my love/fetish for 12 oz. bags of coffee.

I’m not a coffee expert (yet), I just love coffee.

Mike,

I’ve been peeking around your blog and would like to discuss something with you. I’m a blogger too and I have a question. I can’t seem to find your email though.

I’ve put my email in the comment form, but if you can’t find it for whatever reason, you can find my email on my website.

Thanks,
John

Dad,
You’d be shocked…I actually drink black coffee a good percentage of the time now.

I don’t think you can ever drink too much coffee! Actually, that might make for a good blog post in the future.

I like your blog and the idea at the base of it; however for all coffee addicts out there: enjoy your favorite coffee with moderation; too much of anything can not be good;

Anyone might want to remind me this from time to time since I usually do not follow the advices I give to other people.

just passing thru and saw your preview of the Zojirushi Fresh Brew (quite timely as my Presto drip just bit it).

I love that pic of you & Gary V: so many winegeeks would be seriously jealous that you got to meet him in person! He’s probably the most prominent wino on the net and has single-handedly leveled the playing field, bringing rarefied juice down to terms the everyday Joe can understand & relate to.

Sorry to hear about your Presto drip.

It was a real honor to meet Gary V, he’s at least part of my inspiration in my coffee blogging.

I don’t drink coffee, but my husband does. Incessantly. And he loves Dunkin Donuts extra dark…

Ok, I checked out the site first because of my love of coffee, then I read your bio first problem is Starbucks( they bought and ruined my favorite coffee shop when I was younger) and it’s extra large not venti I’ve never had an italian wait on me at starf…s, I like Peets better. second thing I saw was the Yankees shirt but I’ll be nice and forgive you for that I’m Born and bred in Beantown. but I’ll keep looking and see if I agree with other coffee ratings
