Bring On Halloween: Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice From Green Mountain Coffee

The Drink: Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice From Green Mountain Coffee
Type: K-Cup
Overall Rating: 3.5 Out Of 5 Coffee Mugs

My birthday is on Halloween and October is one of my favorite months, but I’m not usually a fan of Pumpkin Spice coffees. I wasn’t expecting to like Green Mountain Coffee’s Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice, but I did.

As it was brewing Keurig, I was worried that I wasn’t going to like it. Writing negative reviews are never fun, but it turns out that I had nothing to worry about this time. I took one sniff of the finished product and my mind changed. The aroma smelled like a delicious spicy pumpkin pie that was fresh out of the oven.

The first sip had a smooth, nutty flavor that mixed with a scrumptious pumpkin spice taste. It tasted darker and heavier in the after taste. I’m not usually the kind of person that adds milk or cream to my coffee, but a little bit of milk really completed the taste this time.

A 24 pack of Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice from Green Mountain Coffee costs $9.95 at 1 Quick Cup.

Overall, I liked the Pumpkin Spice from Green Mountain Coffee and it earned a solid 3.5 on the Daily Shot Of Coffee K-Cup scale. (The K-Cup rating is versus other K-cups, not whole bean coffees). It was better than Pumpkin Spice coffees that I’ve tried in the past and I would have no problem suggesting it to someone that’s looking for a flavored K-Cup.

Fine Print.

Interesting… I’ve only tried once a ‘pumpkin flavored’ coffee before, I believe it was couple years ago when Peet’s Coffee brought out a seasonal version of it. It wasn’t that great, but after reading your review I’ll like to give ‘pumpkin coffee’ a shot, especially in this autumn season.

Have you tried any other pumpkin ‘commercial’ brands (available in supermarkets or mainstream coffee stores) that you would recommend?

i really can’t remember other pumpkin drinks that i tolerated well Mike.
i DO enjoy pumpkin seeds and pumpkin pie but putting that
taste into something as a side or minor key flavor really isn’t
    doing it for me.

    now…coffee with pumpkin pie?
    mmmmm!

as an aside…i do love that photo of what looks
to be a very large pumpkin loving spider all wrapped
    around the k-cup.

I’m pretty excited that you had to test this and not me, I like Pumpkin pie and seeds but the crazy ice creams and coffee’s eeeek. Not interested.
