BUNN My Cafe Preview
I’m pretty excited about the latest piece of coffee making equipment to show up in the Daily Shot Of Coffee kitchen. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the BUNN My Cafe, including that it makes great coffee and uses compostable pods. If that’s the case, that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for on those early mornings when I have to rush out the door.
The BUNN My Cafe brews one cup of coffee for you at home in thirty seconds (fifty seconds for tea if you’re into that sort of thing). It has a “Jet Action Sprayhead” that they promises provides optimal flavor and a Pulse brew option for bolder coffee. And it works with a variety of compostable coffee and tea pods.
BUNN says the My Café brewing system combines high quality coffee and tea pods with BUNN brewing technology to give you an authentic coffee experience.
- Aroma – Enjoy fresh coffee aroma even before brewing begins.
- Taste – Unlock rich flavor from fresh coffee and tea pods.
- Variety – Select from hundreds of coffee and tea pod varieties available.
- Better for the Environment – Choose less packaging and compostable pods.
Over the next week as I test the My Cafe in the Daily Shot Of Kitchen, I’ll take notes on how easy it to use and clean. Of course I’ll test the quality of the coffee it produces. And I’ve heard that the pods are fairly easy to find, but I’ll check that out for myself and see just how aviable they are?
Is there anything else that I should look at? What would you like to know about it?
Or have you tried it? What did you think of it?

I’m interested in this device. It seems like it would be fun to make a gourmet flavored coffee or tea in the afternoon. I don’t know if a single serving pot would ever replace my full pot coffee maker. I’m interested in the pods and the flavors of the coffee.
I think I’m right there with you Rose. However, I find myself using my french press more and more with a really big cup!
I’ll let you know what I think about the pods and the coffee.
super! i think single serve devices are very practical in a crowded office or commercial work area where a lot of people have very differing tastes and wants when it comes to ;joe;
while not gourmet level for the most part they are a lot more
adaptive and of higher quality than your average coffee pot production.
Your comment made me wish that I had this coffee maker for my day job office.
I have very different coffee tastes then my coworkers who are happy with Foldgers. I’ve tried to show them the bright side, but still another tub of ground coffee shows up in the office week after week.
Hope that you will report whether it is BPA free.
I did some research and I’ll include it in the final review.
I love that the pods are compostable.
That’s huge for me too. The next step is to see if they’re widely available.
