Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla Review
The other day at the grocery store, I picked up 12 ounces of ground Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla coffee. This coffee is one that I regularly buy at the grocery store. The price is always right and I’ve liked this flavor for a long time. However, reviewing it really made it a completely different experience.
You can’t miss the smell of a fresh cup of this coffee. You can smell the vanilla right away, but it isn’t overwhelming. There’s some hints of a fruit flavor like strawberry or raspberry. I know those two don’t exactly smell the same, but I couldn’t decide which it was.
I love the taste of this coffee. Right away, I could tell that it has smooth taste with a hint of vanilla. As I tasted more of it, I could taste the raspberry or strawberry that I was smelling earlier. The after taste is really pleasant, I didn’t want to put this cup of coffee down.
It’s made of 100 percent Arabica coffee, which I just learned is the more gourmet kind of coffee bean. (Yes, I’m still learning and have a lot to learn still).
The bag said that it was good through January, 2010. That’s a pretty long time. I’d be amazed if coffee could stay fresh and full of taste for that long. However, that did just give me a good idea for a future post – how long does coffee last?
If you want to try it for yourself, you can pick up a bag of this coffee at Dunkin Donuts, most grocery stores or at Amazon. On Amazon, they have the 40 ounce bags of it. I usually stick to the 12 ounce bags, but it’s nice to know that if I ever need 135 cups of coffee from one ground bag, I know where to go.
I was shopping online for a coffee last night and came across a bag of french vanilla coffee at one of the speciality coffee sites. I think I’ll have to order that now so that I can compare it to the Dunkin Donuts version.
