East Lake Cafe Review
Yesterday, I stopped by East Lake Cafe in Palm Harbor, Florida. It’s mainly a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, but they also have a quarter of their dinning room dedicated to coffee.
As far as the food, it was exactly what I needed on a Sunday afternoon. I ate an omelet that was delicious and their potatoes are full of flavor. Plus, the portions were huge. Perfect for after a long bike ride. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the size of the portions.
But the most important part – how was the coffee?
They have a a variety of flavors but I went with just straight up coffee. I thought it would be a good place to start.
Initially the coffee tasted semi-bold with a bitter taste and a nutty flavor. However, the bitter taste seemed to disappear as it cooled down and it became a lot smoother.
The coffee did taste a little burnt, but I came in late in the day and I’m sure the coffee had been sitting around for a while so I’m not going to hold that against them.
I can’t tell you which roast they serve at East Lake Cafe, this Sunday they were pretty busy and I didn’t want to get in their way. However, I’ll definitely be going back soon and will be asking then.
They serve Barnie’s Coffee And Tea, which is kind of odd because just a few days ago I was online and debating purchasing some of their coffees. They have a lot of flavored coffees that I want to try so I think after testing out their coffee yesterday, I’ll be making an order online soon.
East Lake Cafe is open 6 am to 3 pm seven days a week. They’re located at 3430 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor, FL 34685. You can call them at (727) 772-0707.

The place sounds great. I would love to try their other flavors coffee’s that you mentioned.
I’d definitely suggest trying it out. The food is perfect for those Saturday/Sunday mornings. I can’t wait to go back to get more food there and try some of the flavored coffee.
