The Drink: Ethiopia Michicha Ardi From Kuma Coffee
Type: Single Origin Whole Bean
Overall Rating: 3.50 Out Of 5 Coffee Mugs

I don’t know a lot about Ethiopia, but the more coffees that I have from that country, the more I want to learn. I’ve had a lot of coffees from Ethiopia, but this is my first Michicha Ardi.

The Ethiopia Michicha Ardi had an aroma that reminded me of fresh blueberry pancakes covered with blueberry syrup. Delicious smelling, but not overwhelming. Pretty much along the lines of other coffees that I’ve tasted from Ethiopia. There were hints of chocolate underneath the blueberry flavor.

It had a medium-dark roast flavor, with a light body. The blueberry flavor mixed in, along with hints of wine and chocolate. It had a smooth feel on my tongue, with a really smooth berry after taste.

I liked it, but compared to some of the other Kuma Coffees, it tasted a little muted. If I was stranded on a deserted island and could only have one Kuma Coffee, I would probably go with the Panama Elida Estate Natural or Guatemala Fina El Injerto.

On the Daily Shot Of Scale it earned an above average 3.50. It’s good, but I felt like there could’ve been a little bit more in the taste department.

On a side note, it does look like this coffee is no longer available on their website.

Fine Print.
