Everyday Kind Of Coffee: Gourmet From Cafe Tabom
The Drink: Gourmet From Cafe Tabom
Type: Whole Bean Blend
Overall Rating: 3.75 Out Of 5 Coffee Mugs
Next up is the third and final coffee from Cafe Tabom, a Brazilian based coffee company that is making their way up north to the United States. I enjoyed their Superior Blend, didn’t think their robusta filled blend called Tradicional was too bad, but what I’ve really been looking forward to is their Gourmet.
The Gourmet is their 100% arbabica blend, made of Brazilian beans and roasted near the farms in Brazil. They describe this blend as having a deep, sweet aroma. They say it’s rich, low-key, gently bittersweet with a long finish and excellent flavor persistence.
First impressions was that this was going to be the best of the Cafe Tabom varieties. Even the beans looked better.
The aroma reminded me of some of the best beans that I’ve had from that part of South America. It had a smooth, sweet aroma with tiny hints of spices and chocolate.
The bag says that it’s a medium roast, but I would say it’s a little bit darker than that. Overall, it’s a smooth sip with a rich, but subtle dark chocolate flavor and hints of spices. I really liked the dark chocolate flavor…like really.
Two pounds of Gourmet from Cafe Tabom is an economical $14.00. You can email them at sales.us@cafetabom.com to purchase their coffee.
Overall, I really enjoyed sipping on Cafe Tabom’s Gourmet. It was a good coffee, that at $14 for two pounds, I could see myself drinking a lot of. Check them out if you get a chance.

……100% arbabica …
now THAT’s worthy.
sounds good to the last drop as the
old commercial for Maxwell House used to say.
Now I have that jingle stuck in my head!
I really liked the dark chocolate flavor…like really.

i really like….like really …Mike.
it’s Friday.
Great coffee, had some more of it just now!
Is it just me, or do Brazilian coffees always taste darker than the roast claims? I’ve had a bunch of light/medium roasts that tasted a lot darker than that.
Now that you mentioned it, I can think of a couple others from Brazil that tasted darker than what their label/description said.
