Moonstruck CoffeeUpdate: April 26, 2009. Unfortunately, I never received my samples from Moonstruck and when I went to follow up, it seems that their website is no longer active.

I was shopping, I mean “researching” online coffee stores and stumbled across Moonstruck Coffee. To tell the truth, I don’t even know how I got there, but it must have been some sort of guiding light because for a limited time they’re offering free samples of coffee. Yup, you heard me right, they’re giving away free coffee.

They must really believe in their coffee to just give it away like that. I can’t wait to taste it and of course, I’ll be doing a review of it when it shows up at my house. The coffee packets are randomly selected, from their “regular”, “flavor”, “regular decaf”, or “flavor decaf” brews. Hopefully, I get something with lots of caffeine. There was no catches on this one, so I strongly suggest that any coffee lover take advantage of it right away, before it goes away. I think this offer definitely falls under the too good to stay around for long.

Also, for every 15th order over $40 they’re paying for the order up to $75. I really like those ratios, way better than my chance of winning the lottery this weekend. Plus, they’re giving away other coffee accessories and Moonstruck merchandise. They know how to get my attention.

But even besides their giveaways, Moonstruck stood out from the rest of the online coffee shops I came across last night. It really seems like it’s the kind of coffee shop I’d like to spend sometime time at, if it wasn’t located near Cleveland, Ohio. That’s a bit of a drive from where I live nar Tampa.

Moonstruck is run by two brothers, Zarlasht and Sadat Jibran and not only do they seem to care about their coffee and their customers, but they donate 50 percent of their proceeds every Friday to causes helping eradicate famine, promote good health and education around the world.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the site is that they’re only doing bulk orders now. I can definitely go through five pounds of coffee pretty quick, but with a new place I like to sample and try out different flavors. Either way, if the coffee sample is good, I’ll probably be making a purchase at Moonstruck soon.

Ok who doesn’t like free speed me up juice. I can’t blame you on not ordering 5 pounds of coffee from a new place you haven’t tried yet.

Yeah, I can’t wait for the sample to get here. There was definitely a lot of coffees that they have that I’d consider buying, but I’d like to see the quality first.
