Via Community Coffee, we’re taking a trip to the French Quarter. Just like the actual French Quarter in New Orleans, French Quarter Fusion is full of flavor and surprises.

The French Quarter Fusion has a tropical/floral aroma that’s relaxing and comfortable feeling. It contains hints of pineapple, oranges and a pinch of red pepper.

After smelling the aroma, the taste surprised me. It was darker and bolder than I was expecting. It was like my tongue was being over run with flavor, not that I’m complaining. The flavor was a spicy mix that woke me right up. It contained cinnamon and half a dozen other spices. I could definitely taste the blend of Central American and Indonesian beans in this coffee.

As it cooled down, it began to taste more tropical and more sweet, almost like coffee with a hint of fruit punch red Gatorade. Believe it or not, that’s not a bad thing. I really liked this taste.

The after taste was strong, and just as bold, it definitely couldn’t be missed.

The other thing that couldn’t be missed was just how smooth this coffee was. It was one of the smoothest coffees that I’ve had in a while.

Overall, it wasn’t my favorite coffee from Community Coffee – that would be either the Crescent Blend or their Hazelnut, but it was still good. I would have no problem drinking this on a daily basis. I gave it a 3.25 out of 5 on the Daily Shot Of Coffee scale.
