I enjoyed the article regarding coffee labels.

Unfortunately, we are having problems with Robusta varieties of coffee.

Often the genetically altered varieties are planted geographically close to the organic. (Even within a quarter to a half mile is a problem.)

With Robusta, we depend on cross fertilization, and therefore contamination of the organic with the genetically altered is impossible to stop.

As a result, what we end up with is a situation whereby, short of testing every plant, we have no idea if a field has been contaminated.

Thanks!

For a while I was working right near a Seattle's BEst. I loved their coffee and drinks. I'm not worried about the quality that comes out of a fast food restaurant vs the coffee shop. Either way, I'll be there on the first day to try it.

Hi there! Another great round up blog post from you! I definitely think that the SBC brand entry into Burger King is a great idea. It will give the brand a lot more exposure, and it's smart they're using SBC coffee and not Starbucks.
