Thanks for sharing your weekly roundup Mike! I’m happy that I resisted being enticed by the “Magic Power Coffee” folks. I refused to display their ads on my site because it is clearly a gimmick and now apparently dangerous as well. Perhaps I will make a video post about this and other ‘healthy coffee’ ripoffs. Have a great week!
Anytime Nate! I think that would make for an interesting video, especially since there’s more and more of those coffees spring up and I wonder how many are gimicks and how many (if any) are backed up by scientific proof.
It will be interesting to see how free wifi will affect or not affect Starbucks’s customers. Perhaps more people will disengage from their environment, disregarding the opportunity to strike up a conversation with their friendly coffee lovers. Who knows!
On a second note, I bought my Dad a new drip coffee machine for Father’s day. The Mr. Coffee broke and was quite conflicted over getting him a French Press, but decided on something lower maintenance. Though it does have a thermal carafe, and not a hot plate.
Yeah, I think it’s going to be interesting to watch. At a couple of my local Starbucks it’s already hard to find seats, I’m curious how it will be after the free wifi and how many of those people will be drinking coffee.
That sounds like a pretty good father’s day present. For every day use, a drip coffee maker can’t be beat, but at least now you know what you can get him next time, a french press.
