Fritz Frischer, Flavored Coffee, and the Girlfriend
Coffee flavored like Andes mints sounds delicious, however coffee that’s flavored to hide it’s bad qualities sounds horrible. What’s your opinion, do you think a lot of coffee companies load flavored coffees with extra flavor to hide the poor quality?
Hacienda La Esmeralda 2010
One of my favorite coffees that I tasted last year was Hacienda La Esmeralda roasted by Rocketfuel Coffee. It was an amazing cup of coffee and it was great to see behind the scenes of the farm where this coffee was grown.

Green Mountain Coffee tackles K-Cup criticism
Just earlier this week I was talking about this issue. It’s great for Green Mountain Coffee that they’re selling 60 million K-Cups a week, but with most of those K-Cups used only once before they’re thrown out, it creates some very unfriendly consequences for the earth.

Who knew that an in-flight magazine could be so informative and why don’t I ever get magazines with articles like this when I’m stuck on a crowded airplane.
Bikini barista coffee stand is brewing for Freeland
For the most part, I’ve started to just ignore most of the stories about bikini baristas. For the most part, all of the “outrage” is pretty hilarious to me. However, this one turns pretty funny when you can tell the the reporter is really reaching and trying to turn it into a story when he asks the bikini barista recruiter about the wisdom of serving hot drinks while being scantily clothed. There really has to be something better to report on.

Great post Mike. I love your weekly roundup of the coffee world! My condolences about the Yankees…figured I’d tell you now before it actually happens
Ha! Looks like the Yankees are rolling! Here comes number 28!
Hey there Mike thanks for the round up, I know there’s some posts there I’ve missed over the week, so it’s probably time for me to stop on by them
As always, thank you for stopping by and commenting.
Wow, In reading this weeks round up the thing I realized most is how many new coffee bloggers there are now compared with 2 years ago with new ones popping up everyday. It’s really insane and I love it.
It’s great, especially since it seems to be people all over the coffee spectrum and world.
