Guilt Free Medium Review: Guilt Free Coffee?
The Drink: Guilt Free Medium From Guilt Free Coffee
Type: Medium Roast Organic Blend
Overall Rating: Three Out Of Five Coffee Mugs
I wish more coffee companies would follow Guilt Free Coffee’s lead. All of their coffee is Carbon Neutral, Fair Trade And Organic. Not too long ago, I sampled their Guilt Free Bold. This time, I’m reviewing their Guilt Free Medium.
Their Bold was a winner and very easy to drink, so I could wait to brew a pot of the Medium. I’m developing a love for darker roast coffees, but medium roasts are my passion.
My nose gave it’s approval of the Guilt Free Medium. It had a sweet aroma with hints of honey that mixed with a mild nutty flavor.
However, the taste was just acceptable. It was a nutty flavor, mixed with hints of honey, cinnamon and a bit of spice mixed in. I liked the taste, but it was just not all there. It was kind of lifeless and I’m wondering if it was because it was pre-ground (coffee starts to lose it’s flavor within 15 minutes of being roasted).
A 12 ounce bag of Guilt Free Medium costs $10.80, which is fairly reasonable.
Overall, Guilt Free Medium was an average coffee. It just needs a little more “pop” and I think it could really have something going on.
They do sell a whole bean version of Guilt Free Medium, so that might be worth trying. However, my favorite of the two was the Guilt Free Bold. If you’re looking for a coffee that’s guilt free and tastes great, that’s the one that I would recommend.

guilt free is where these companies ship you
a gigazillion samples and you give your honest opinions.
i didn’t detect ANY guilt Mike.
you do a good job.
Thank you very much howard. Honored to have you as a regular reader and commenter.
Mike,
Hey, thanks for the review. The medium does seem to lose a bit of it’s pop quicker than the bold. Some people don’t have their own grinders, so we offer grinding options as well as the whole beans (like you mentioned). Anyway, thanks for the honest review. It’s much appreciated.
Best,
Kevin
Totally understand Kevin. Thanks again for letting me review your coffees.
