Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5

This week, Daily Shot Of Coffee is giving away a bag of Carnivale Cake Coffee, it’s a flavored coffee that I think even non-flavored fans could like. Tonight, I’m drinking Hazelnut flavored coffee from Community Coffee, a coffee that I don’t think coffee purists would like. However, if you like hazelnut flavored anything, you’ll love this coffee.

Everything about the coffee screams hazelnut. As it brewed, the rich hazelnut flavored filled my entire house. It wasn’t overwhelming, and it was a pleasant flavor, but it’s safe to say that it would be too much for some people.

The scent coming from my cup was dominated by the hazelnut flavor, but around the edges their were hints of a warm chocolate and a little dash of mint.

Community Coffee describes it as having a medium body. To me it was more of a light body, like the feeling of fat free milk, but it was still full of flavor.

The taste was still dominated by the hazelnut. It was a very sweet drinkable taste and exceptionally smooth.

Behind the hazelnut, was a more serious nutty taste. Coming through were also hints of freshly picked strawberries, chocolate and a small drop of cinnamon.

The was really nothing to report about the after taste. It was slightly nutty, but nothing that really stood out to me in that part of the sip.

At just $5.49 a 12 ounce bag, it’s a steal. It’s perfect for drinking after dinner, with a dessert.
