Things have been a little bit hectic here this week, among other things the day job has been keeping me away from the Daily Shot Of Coffee office a little too much. Then tonight I have a meeting, but I couldn’t leave you without the Daily Shot Of Coffee again.
Here’s the latest ad campaign from Caribou Coffee. It features their two animated characters – Jack a pumpkin and Gourdo his gourd friend. They’re talking about the fall food and drinks from Caribou, cannibalism and carving each other up. Depending on where you’re sense of humors falls, you’re either going to think these are really creepy or downright funny.

Thought I’d pass on this fun or maybe not so funny thing that happened to me and to a customer in the coffee shoppe where I worked a few years past.
We always kept the pots clean and full for the public’s consumption of a variety of brews each day. At the same time we would brew double strength pots of coffee for making iced coffee and frozen cappuccino in large amounts. Well, sometimes you could be distracted while chatting with the customer. So you can imagine how an accident was ready to happen. One day this customer asked for a refill and low and behold I grabbed the double strength pot that was not for him….but for the mix. I did not realize it until he left. I wondered how much sleep he was deprived of for a long time. It cracks me up every time I think of it also I wondered if his hair stood up? LOL From that moment on I was very careful what pot I grabbed. There should be sticky notes for coffee pots and neon pot handles, anything to prevent surprises.
