There’s a new coffee maker slated for review in the Daily Shot Of Coffee kitchen. It’s the Kalorik CM-25282 1000-Watt 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Aztec Copper
Kalorik is a company that’s relatively new to me, but it’s one of Europe’s oldest manufacturers of kitchen appliances, they were established in Belgium, in 1930.
A little bit about the Kalorik Aztec Coffee Maker:
- 1000-watt fully programmable coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups
- Push-button control panel with blue back-lit LCD display; digital clock and timer
- Brew-pause function; nonstick hot plate; 2-hour automatic shut-off
- Transparent water tank with hinged lid; glass carafe included
The coffee maker stands out with it’s cooper color, but I want to know if it just looked pretty or if it’s a quality coffee maker.
I’ll be looking at several things with this coffee maker. First and foremost, I’ll be testing out the quality of the coffee that it brews. I’ll be looking at how easy is to use, testing out the different features. Before I’m done, I’ll compare it to other coffee makers that I’ve reviewed.
The early results are all positive, but there’s a lot more testing to do.

I’d be interested in hearing if you think it makes a good cup! One thing I would like you to look at is how easy is it to clean. Nothing is worse than a machine that is difficult to clean. Thanks!
SOME SITES SAY THIS IS A 1000 WATT COFFEE MAKER AND SOME SAY IT IS 900 WATTS. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY SAY IT IS 900 WATTS – YET YOU ALSO SAY IT IS 1000 WATTS. IS THE KALORIK COMPANY WRONG? I HAVE ALSO READ A LOT OF NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS COFFEE MAKER – HARD TO PLACE CARAF AND QUITS WORKING AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS. WAS GOING TO PURCHASE BUT NOT SURE AFTER MY RESEARCH. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF THIS COFFEE MAKER AND WHY SO MANY DISCREPANCIES? YES, I HAVE THE CORRECT MODEL.

I can’t tell you the exact wattage, I based that on information from the box. However, I can tell you that it does produce hotter coffee than lower grade machines.
As far as the carafe, it is a little tricky, but it’s more of an annoyance factor than anything else.
I’ve had for close to two months now and does run perfectly.

I have the Kalorik Aztec CM 25282 and I am very disappointed in its performance. When I brew coffee, it never comes out hot like coffee should. It is always warm.
Please advise!
