I have found that when using the reusable K-cup filter to grind the coffee as course as possible so there are less fine grounds in the bottom of the cup. I really only use the reusable K-cup filter for my B70. I too have found alot of the K-cups to be on the weaker side.

The Chocolate Glazed Donut is one I have sitting on my counter, just waiting for me to review it.

I really don't think they taste too weak, at least the ones that I've tried. However I might give that solution a try anyways.

I've found the My K cups the way to go for freshness, but it is nice to get to try varieties from all over the place... as well as some pretty interesting flavored coffee as well. Like the 'Chocolate Glazed Donut Coffee' by Donut House, or Green Mountain Coffee's 'Golden French Toast' blend.

I had a girl post her review on one of my sites yesterday giving her solution to the infamous 'too weak' claim that many seem to make about Keurig.

She said, when you lower the lid on the k cup, instead of pushing the brew button, open the lid again and rotate the k cup a quarter turn, then lower the lid (thus punching a second water hole in the lid of the k cup). She says she does this several times, effectively letting more water into the k cup quicker, getting a stronger extraction... Haven't tried it yet myself - but thought it's nice to share!

Yeah, that's one of my concerns too. I'd also like to try out the k-cup where you can add your own coffee.

I took am concerned about the falvour. It has been consistently show that ground coffee no matter how it is packed does not match up to fresh ground coffee. You are restricted to whatever the pod manufacturer makes and that too me is a problem. People should be able to select the quality and taste they want.

my wife and i have used one for almost 2 years.
the system we have (an older tech version) is a bit noisy when the pump
feeds water into the pressure/heater part of the Keurig.
but the results are pretty decent for a machine.

we have found that the flavored coffee kcups
(from almost every vendor) are a bit on the bitter
side. a more consistent coffee taste and a stronger coffee
comes from the ground bean coffee only kcups.
just add flavors after the coffee is brewed.

also, on the unit we have, the front discharge height isn't
high enough to dispense brewed coffee into a car carry
thermos or tall insulated cup. i get around this by
holding the cup or thermos at an angle as the brew
cycle runs. i mentioned the height issue to keurigs
factory contact line already and i think they were aware
of this before and are working on some way to
extend the height or add a false base to their systems.

overall, the quality of the coffee, the ease of getting it
when desired, and the lack of waste from not discarding
extra stale cold or reheated coffee has made this a very positive experience
in our lives.

we gave these machines to coffee friendly friends and family last holiday
season 2009. everyone finds the systems very useful.

a cup at a time device has changed the way i drink coffee
and teas in positlve ways. we have even used the little custom kcup
device [the reusable, refillable "My K-cup" adapter ] to brew our own fresh ground coffee in the keurig and it seems to work well. since i do enjoy the zen of coffee i might use it more often. it seems to make a more full
bodied and flavorful coffee.

I give this gadet 5 stars out of 5 if anyone asks.

I have to admit, I was worried about the quality of the taste, but so far I'm really liking what I've tried.
