Louisiana Blend From Community Coffee – What I’m Drinking
The Drink: Louisiana Blend From Community Coffee
Roast/Body: Medium-Dark Roast and Medium-Full Body
Type: Whole Bean
Overall Rating: Three out of five coffee cups
I’ve been fortunate to try a lot of excellent roasts and flavor from Community Coffee, their Kona Blend, their Hazelnut flavored coffee, but the Louisiana Blend was just okay. They describe it as blend of gourmet Latin coffees with the distinctive flavor of Louisiana. I’ve never been to get the great state of Louisiana, but I’d like to think it’d have more flavor. Don’t get me wrong, I liked this coffee, but I wanted more out of it.
A mellow aroma greeted my nose, it contained a mix of strawberries, grapes and a dash of something more spicy.
An overwhelming feeling of smoothness took hold from the very first sip. The taste and the feel of the coffee where both very smooth and relaxing.
A bright flavor, with some energy in it flowed over my tongue. It seemed like it just needed a little bit more of a kick.
The taste was dominated by a nutty flavor. Underneath that, was cinnamon with a hint of cloves. It was followed by a wave of sweetness with honey and sugarcane. Mixed in was a fruity flavor, with a crisp mango feel.
The aftertaste was nothing to write home about, but at the same time I have no complaints about it either. It had a dusty feeling, with a simple, rich coffee flavor.
The Louisiana Blend is an average, a three out of five rating. It’s not generic and I wouldn’t complain waking up to it, but it’s not a coffee I’d want every day. I’d shy away from serving it on special occasions because there’s other coffees that would leave more of an impression.
The good news is that right now Community Coffee has a special deal where they’re including free ground shipping on any order of thirty dollars or more. Click here to take advantage of this limited time offer.

I am more of the flavored coffee type myself and the Louisiana Blend doesn’t sound like a coffee I would rush to try.
Just not my thing.
John – I think it’s good, but I definitely can’t see you being a fan of it after reading your reviews/knowing what you like.
