N.O. Brew French Vanilla Review

The Drink: N.O. Brew French Vanilla
Type: Flavored Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate In A Bottle
Overall Rating: 3.5 Out Of 5 Coffee Cups
A month ago when I received the four samples of N.O. Brew, I was hesitant about them. I was worried that it was just a gimmick, that it wasn’t going to taste like coffee or even taste good at all. As I sit in front of the computer tonight sipping on the French Vanilla flavor, I’m completely won over.
Overall, I enjoyed the taste and smell of each flavor. It’s not whole bean coffee fresh from the roasters, but it’s way better than just a coffee that I’d buy just for convenience. However, it is perfect to bring to the office or as a cheaper alternative to spending five dollars at Starbucks for a latte.
Like the other flavors, I tasted it as a latte and as an Americano. I started with the latte this afternoon.
It had a delicious vanilla aroma. It reminded me of the aroma of a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting on something like a fresh piece of apple pie. It actually got me craving some apple pie a la mode or at least some vanilla ice cream.
It tastes very similar to the hundreds of lattes that I’ve bought at coffee shops, but with a slight hint of vanilla and a bit of the chicory flavor that makes it stand out (in a good way).
Neither the aroma or the taste are overwhelming, it’s well balanced and what I call a mature coffee like flavor.
The Americano smells a lot like a vanilla flavored coffee. I know, nothing too surprising there. It was a very light scent of vanilla mixed it with a nuttty coffee scent.
Of all the flavors (besides the Traditional), this was the one that tasted the most like coffee. The vanilla and chicory mixed in, but it was even less than in the latte.
Overall another solid drink, the French Vanilla earns an above average rating of 3.5 out of 5.
I’m really sold on the N.O. Brew. I like the taste, I like that it’s cheaper than buying a Latte at Starbucks, I like that it doesn’t cause me any heartburn problems. I like it enough where, I think just about any coffee drinker, even the purists should give it a shot.
