I’m sure that I’m not the only that’s been stranded without access to freshly ground coffee beans to make my favorite drink. It’s scary place to be when the caffeine level starts to drop in my bloodstream. There’s been times at 30,000 feet where the airline’s coffee just wasn’t getting the job done. There were the hotel rooms with undrinkable coffee. There was the office that I worked in that didn’t have a coffee maker. The list goes on… The answer for some people is instant coffee.
Starbucks put their foot into the instant coffee market earlier this year, now Nescafe came out with a new addition to their line of instant coffees.
They stepped up their game with an instant coffee called Nescafe Taster’s Choice. It comes in six different flavors -Gourmet Roast, Decaf,
Original Roast, 100% Colombian, Vanilla and Hazelnut. They say it’s quality instant coffee without the hype and for a lot less.
Next week, I’ll be tasting it and giving you my honest opinion on it. But this week, I’m giving it away to some lucky Daily Shot Of Coffee readers.

I feel I should warn you the tasters choice (i got free samples) is awful, i ended up throwing out all of the flavors, i couldn’t stomach even one. (disclaimer: i like dunkin donuts, mcdonalds and starbucks coffees, i find via acceptable, but i do not like flavia, k-cups, or most instant coffees)

I have a 3 pack of Starbucks Via and a box of Taster’s choice in the office, for those times when coffee is needed but it’s too late in the day to go through the trouble of making another pot. I used Via once, have since been passing it over for the Taster’s Choice.
I agree with gservo, I’ll take Taster’s Choice over Via any day — and that’s before taking the crazy price difference into account.
