Off Topic – Use Your Brain, Donate To Alzheimer’s Research

It’s not very often that I blog about anything other than coffee and It’s not very often that I ask for donations, but this is something that is important to me. On November 6th, I’m participating in the 2010 Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk here in Tampa. I’m asking you to help me raise funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.

My family has been directly affected by Alzheimer’s, including my grandmother and two of her sisters who lost their lives due to the deadly brain disease. Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s, and 78 million baby boomers are at risk – unless we find a way to change the course of this disease.

I want to do my part to fight Alzheimer’s, but I need your help! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer’s Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer’s. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.

Thank you for supporting my efforts. We’re on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s! Even if you can’t make a donation, can you please share or tweet this post. Thank you.

Mike; i’ve had people close and many friends
families affected by this very negative deadly disease.
    i donated.
    peace!
from what i’ve seen, recent research has shown
there is a link between added caffeine in the diet
and a lessened susceptibility to alzheimers in those
    who might be so affected.

Howard, Thanks for donating! I didn’t know caffeine helped combat dementia. Yet another reason to raise my coffee mug. *Cheers*
