I like starbucks but I just find them way over priced. That being said I limit what I get and how often I do go there. I like the Caramel machacado but for over $4.00 a cup for the grande size is a bit much. What's real funny is when you take and multiply out their cost by oz. to a gal. So lets do the math 1 US gallon = 128 US fluid ounces -1 Starbucks Grande is 16oz. so 16 into 128 is 8 and 8 x $4. = $32.00 a gallon! Wow compare that to the price of gas. No wonder they have so many stores.

I voted I'm in the Middle. I always view Starbucks as a convenient spot to get WiFi and not so much for the coffee. But then again my company has lots of coffee from the vending machine, and that's how I get my daily shot.

I do not love Starbucks, I dont like their standard coffee, it utilitarian , like dunkin donuts. Their espresso is decent when needed. They used to have more variety , now, meh

I think it would be difficult for me to ever abandon Starbucks. Similar to you, they were my first "real coffee" experience and we have grown together over the years. They're still very high on my coffee list and there are no local shops that make a better cup near me.

I'm not a fan of Starbucks. I think they are to coffee what McDonald's is to hamburgers. If you can't find anything else or in an unfamiliar area, you can count on a fairly consistent level of mediocrity.

I think it's pretty obvious that I am Starbucks fan. I might even be what they call a brand evangelist.

I'm fairly ambivalent towards Starbucks - their quality is a little patchy and the blend they use for espresso-based drinks is a little on the harsh side, only really works for me in latte or flat white.

That said, I'm finding myself frequenting Starbucks more often, just because they're so ubiquitous.

I had a similar experience with you, Mike, where Starbucks was my first real experience with coffee that didn't come out of a grocery store can. But these days, I find that their coffee can be so strong and dark sometimes that it makes my stomach hurt. I tend to prefer a coffee now that has more subtlety and complexity. That said, you may still find a cup of their coffee in my hand from time to time.

I do love Starbucks for some of their specialty drinks however I would much rather have my everyday coffee brewed at home (and NOT costing $5 a cup)
