Poll: Are you drinking any special coffee this holiday season?

Santa's Coffee

With holiday season in full swing, I want to know if you’re drinking any special coffee? Did you buy some special or rare beans for when the family comes over? Do drink any sort of coffee mixed with Bailey’s or Kahlua? Are you leaving out any coffee for Santa? He has a lot of work to do this week and I’m sure he could use some caffeine.

Hopefully, my parents don’t read this part. I’m bringing up some of my favorite coffee to share with my parents while I’m home for the holidays. And on Christmas Eve, I have a feeling that I’ll be sipping on coffee mixed with something for adults only 21 years and older.

So what’s your coffee plans?

Last week’s poll question was “What’s Your Favorite Holiday Flavor Latte?

I’m very exciting that Peppermint Mocha lead with 39% of the vote. That’s my favorite latte. I can’t tell you how many I’ve drank this holiday season and I wish places should serve it year round.

Peppermint Mocha is indeed my favorite. And at home I love adding some Bailey’s Mint Flavored Irish Creme to a cup of Hot Cocoa on a cold winters night.
Stay warm!

Eggnog came in second with 27% of the vote. That’s the one latte flavor that I haven’t tasted. I might have to try one this week.

Caramel Brulee was next with 21% percent of the vote. I tried the Starbucks version and really wasn’t blown away by it. I’m going to see if any other coffee shops make it.

I’m not a huge latte person, but lately I’ve found the new Caramel Brulee latte by Starbucks somewhat addictive. I think that I love the crunchy candied pieces on top. They look like brown glass fragments on top of your latte, and it tastes like candy!

Caramel Apple and Gingerbread lattes tied with just two votes each.

And Carrie had a great suggestion.

I like the white christmas latte. It is a gingerbread latte with white mocha (tall=1 pump white mocha/ grande=2 pumps of white mocha) and whipped cream. It is a little bit if heaven in a cup.

  1. I’ve stocked up on enough Peppermint Mocha creamer to last me until February!
Though technically that’s not the “coffee” its what makes my cup extra special. And I’ve been eating a whole lot of Barnies White Christmas Ice Cream. Which is Barnies White Christmas Coffee flavored ice cream with big chunks of chocolate-espresso chips. And yes, I know, I forgot to bring some over on Thurs…. but you know how tired I was!!!

You’ve seen my fridge, I’ve got enough of the holiday creamers to keep myself drinking holiday flavored lattes to at least the same time.

I forgot that I was mad at you, I can’t believe you didn’t bring me that ice cream!

No special coffee’s for the holidays here, at least not yet. I haven’t had my usual Sunday trip to the store yet though.
