Poll: Did You Get Coffee For Christmas?

This week’s poll is “Did you get coffee (or something coffee related) for Christmas?

I didn’t unwrap any coffee, but I received a great coffee mug that looks like a Starbucks venti paper cup and a book about coffee. I’m sure that I’ll write about them in future posts.

So what did you get?

Last week’s question was “Poll: Are you drinking any special coffee this holiday season?

Seventy percent of you said that you had something special in your coffee cup this holiday season.

I’ve stocked up on enough Peppermint Mocha creamer to last me until February!

Though technically that’s not the “coffee” its what makes my cup extra special. And I’ve been eating a whole lot of Barnies White Christmas Ice Cream. Which is Barnies White Christmas Coffee flavored ice cream with big chunks of chocolate-espresso chips.

Thirty percent of you answered that you didn’t have any special holiday coffee.

No special coffee’s for the holidays here, at least not yet. I haven’t had my usual Sunday trip to the store yet though.

No, nothing coffee related this year. I was a bit surprised.

Hopefully, they make up for it next year.

No coffee for me this Christmas as I stocked up just before the holiday season.

In my stocking this year were some Coffee Bean Magnets, 2 x Cafe Life books (Venice and Florence) and as a main present, a Cream Whipper (used for making espresso mousse and a whole host of other delights).

A present to myself was a Coffee Refractometer for the business which I am enjoying experimenting with.

Hope you had a great Christmas Mike!

Glenn – hope you had a great Christmas too. It sounds like you hit the jackpot with coffee related items! I really like the cream whipper, I’d put it on my Christmas list next year, but I don’t think I can wait that long.

Yes, got 2 pkgs of El Molino (from Ybor City), and 1 pkg of Jack’s (South Street Seaport, NYC), and a Starbucks coffee cup from LONDON!!! Great Xmas!

Mike December 27, 2009 at 11:28 am

I’ve heard about some good coffees coming out of Ybor, I wonder if El Molino is what I’ve been hearing about.

I thought my Starbucks coffee cup came from far away. Mine came from Seattle, but you win with London!

Maybe next year Santa will be good to you!

I did get some coffee for Christmas, but it’s kinda like having your Mom buy you clothes. Nice thought….but not *exactly* what I would pick out! I got a bunch of Spartan Brand (grocery store) preground flavored coffee. What flavor is “YuleTide” anyways or “Santa”…sounds kind of creepy and sick to me. Guess future company will have to tell me :) lol

Hahaha! I think you’re on to something. However, last year my brother got me some top notch coffee from Seattle Coffee that really helped me bring my coffee drinking to the next level.

No . . . not unless I’ve got some coming from my parents. We got snowed in Thursday, still can’t leave the drive way. So much for our plans for Christmas.

Mike December 27, 2009 at 11:31 am

How much snow did you get? I got ripped off, on Christmas we got rain. Yesterday, when I was flying out, it snowed.

Allen December 27, 2009 at 6:48 pm

We got about 13 inches, last I’d heared — came with high wind, as the plains are known for. We didn’t leave the house, save for taking out the dog, from Thursday evening til this morning. Hopefully by tomorrow there’s somewhere to park by the office, as of this afternoon downtown was still a mess.

I don’t miss snow storms like that at all. I was happy with the 4ish inches that we got in Chicago when I was there last week for the holidays.

I am known to my friends as a coffee freak – I drink it all day long & am always searching for new favorites. A friend from Saratoga Springs, NY, sent me a huge bag of Saratoga Signature Blend from Saratoga Roasters. The whole beans came in a resealable bag with a degassing valve – a nice touch.
(Being a Wild West Cowgirl artist, I am also intrigued by their logo … 2 horses sitting in a wooden booth & drinking coffee).
Yee Ha, for Christmas Coffee gifts!

I’ve heard of Uncommon Grounds in Saratoga, but that’s the first that I heard about Saratoga Roasters. I used to vacation and lived in the area for a short time, so I have an interest.

Come on I gave you snow starting at 6PM

LOL – I suppose that’s better than nothing.

No nothing coffee or coffee-related this year, unless you count a few biscotti I picked up as a little gift to myself. Interesting biscotti too, gotta be on the lookout for more- http://www.dilusso.com (& click on Bakery). Oh & Sun.-Jan.3rd-I’ll be getting some regifted Whisker Twister-it’s Sumatran*2 thumbs up*( http://www.catfishcoffee.com/page/2/ )from some non-coffee drinkers. Ok, brother & his wife…familia*shrugs*!
