Poll: Do You Like Flavored Coffees?

Boca Java Deep Blue Blueberry Coffee

This week’s question is “Do You Like Flavored Coffee?

I know that flavored coffee isn’t for everyone and it’s even looked down on by some coffee purists.

However, I love flavored coffees. There’s a few that I wouldn’t mind drinking all of the time and there’s more that I think go perfectly in the evening with dessert. My weakness is for any flavored coffee that has a chocolate theme.

What’s your opinion?

Last week’s poll was “What Do You Put In Your Coffee?

With 35 votes, this poll received the most votes ever for a Daily Shot Of Coffee poll. I almost didn’t want to close it, I wanted to keep it going just to see how many it could get.  Thanks to everyone that voted!

Sugar received 54% of the vote.

Milk came in second with 34% of the vote.

Half And Half had 31% of the vote

Creamer had 23% of the vote. Like my flavored coffees, I like creamers, especially flavored ones, so I’m surprsied that it didn’t get more of the vote.

Soy milk had 3% of the vote.

Powdered milk had zero.

Yes, it does add up to more than one hundred percent, but everyone was allowed to choose more than one answer.

I am one of those respondents who unhesitatingly pressed the ‘NO’ button. Just as when the baristas at Starbucks say to me: “What flavor would you like sir”, I reply; “Coffee flavor please”.

Isn’t this a bit like saying “Do you like flavored orange juice”.

adding flavor to already brewed coffee is good, but flavored coffee beans tend to mess with my stomach really bad, so I just steer clear.

Have you tried the Deep Blue Blueberry coffee? Seems blueberries and coffee don’t mix but I like blueberries and coffee so will I like it?

David- I really can’t argue with that point.

Rose – really? My stomach hates me and I’ve never had any problems directly related to flavored coffee.

Michelle – I have tried the Deep Blue Blueberry coffee. I liked it, but I don’t know if I’d recommend unless your a huge fan of flavored coffees, the aroma and taste were very blueberry. I have tried blueberry flavored coffees that were less.

Hazelnut is the only flavor I truly enjoy and drink at least once a week; however strong and black, in my opinion, is the only way a true coffee lover should drink it, otherwise it’s ” flavored” with milk or sugar.

Any coffee worth it’s beans should be consumed black.

I love most flavored coffee, except for most fruity ones as well as any amaretto flavors. I agree with Janet as it should be strong & black; in my case, preferably iced.

And David-Yes, I only like flavored orange juice. =) It can’t be straight-up…must be a mix w/grapefruit, pomegranate, etc.

I had mentioned to you awhile back that I had started Years ago, drinking flavored instant. Now if anything is flavored, it’s a splash of flavored creamer, but very rarely. Or I”ll add cinnamon, nutmeg, anise or whatever…I recall reading that a region(an African or a South American country?)adds a pinch of pepper.
