This week’s question is “Do You Like Starbucks VIA?”
What’s your opinion on the Starbucks instant coffee? Some people love it, while others really hate it!
I’m in between. When I tried it last spring, I thought it was okay, good for instant coffee. I wouldn’t mind having in when traveling or when I couldn’t get regular coffee because of some bizarre set of circumstances. However, after hearing and reading some of the recent reviews, I’m thinking about going back and doing my another review. My coffee tasting abilities have increased since last spring, I’m wondering if my opinion would be different.
Last week’s pool question was “Which Has More Caffeine?”
It was close all week long, but coffee came up on top with 54% of the vote.
The correct answer is that coffee win’s hands down. 115-175 milligrams per eight ounce cup.
Here’s how some others stack up in an eight ounce cup:
Starbucks Grande Coffee 330
Coffee, Drip 115-175
Starbucks Grande Latte 150
Coffee, Brewed 80-135
McDonald’s Coffee (small) 100
Coffee, Espresso (2 ounces) 100
Coffee, Instant 65-100
Tea, iced 47
Tea, brewed, imported brands (avg.) 60
Tea, brewed, U.S. brands (avg.) 40
Tea, instant 30
Tea, green 15
Hot cocoa 14
Starbucks Grande Decaf Latte 13
Chocolate Milk (8 oz) 5
Coffee, Decaf, brewed 3-4
Coffee, Decaf, instant 2-3

You know how much I hate it! If you want my complete review just visit my site
Anyway, IF Starbucks would have marketed Via as the ‘best’ instant coffee, then I wouldn’t be so hard on them. That isn’t the case. Starbucks’ tactic here is to equate Via with freshly brewed coffee…and I suppose a TV dinner is as good as a 5 star restaurant. MMmmm

Well Honestly When I Tried It, I Thought It Was Drinkable, But Most Coffees I’ve Tried Have Been Just That. Taste N Price Don’t Add Up, Not To Mention This Is Off The Subject But Their Lil Support The Troops By Sending Them VIA Was Upsetting, they Didn’t Have A Matching Program It Was Just U Purchase Our Coffee And Another Company Comes & Picks Up What U Purchased To Send Off To Troops, You Would Have Thought They’d Donate Or Something But All The Customers That Purchased To Send Coffee To Troops, Wasted Their $$ On Crap, They Only Helped SBUX With Their Sales. Yeah I’m a Bit Heated! I Hope That It Was Only The One Store I Visited In ATL, Otherwise SBUX U Should Be Ashamed, & That Why I’m Here To Check N Balance Yo Coffee. #RDGC 4 Life!
