Poll: Hot Coffee Or Iced Coffee
This week, it seems like just about everywhere the temperature is reaching into the 90s, even hitting 100+. During summer do you drink more Hot Coffee Or Iced Coffee?
Hot Coffee Or Iced Coffee?
- Hot Coffee (60%, 30 Votes)
- Iced Coffee (40%, 20 Votes)
Total Voters: 50
I start off just about every morning with a mug full of hot coffee. However, the return of 90+ temperatures is making me rethink that and start drinking iced coffee until it starts to cool down in October.
What about you? Does the heat keep you from drinking hot coffee?
Last week’s question was Have You Visited The Daily Shot Of Coffee Store?
I was honored to see that the number one answer was Yes. It finished with 73% of the vote.
No finished with just 6 votes total.
If you haven’t been to the Daily Shot Of Coffee Store, click the link and take a couple of minutes to check it out. There you can find coffees and coffee equipment that was reviewed on the blog, as well as some of official Daily Shot Of Coffee mugs, complete with coffee quotes and sayings.

I pour boiling water over the Vietnamese filter, then when I have half a glass full, I pour the rest with milk. So it’s kind of warm..
I have to admit, that I have never tried iced coffee, though I do drink it cold now and again, specially I’ve forgot I’ve made a coffee
the warmer it is, the more i ice brew on drink ice coffee
The weather’s pretty mild where I am, so summers aren’t hot around here. However, even when I am in other locations where the temperatures are near triple digits, I still enjoy/prefer a hot cup of coffee in the mornings. I like iced coffees as a treat in the middle of the day or as dessert.
It doesn’t matter to me if it is summer or not I prefer a good cup of hot coffee. I will drink GOOD iced coffee at local cafes on occasion and have been known to make some at home but hot is the way I prefer my coffee.
Good poll Mike!
Ciao!
I actually really like iced coffee, but I still drink hot coffee more during the hot weather.
One of the worst things is drinking cold coffee that you thought was hot. One time, at work, I had two cups on my desk, one was from when I first got there, about 8 hours before, and one was fresh. Without looking, I picked up the old one and took a sip.
That’s the kind of cold coffee you want to stay away from…
No doubt here. Ice.
yes sireee Mike… i am putting ice cubes into anything
that walks and talks caffeine these days.
although i don’t like iced tea for early AM and
breakfast duty, both hot and iced coffee does the trick.
if i am drinking it with food or snacks, i can tolerate
some sugar, but alone, too sweet just upsets my
plumbing.
i do try and brew only really strong or bold coffee
when i due to the dilution factor.
and there is (others mentioned it) a clear distinction
between intentionally iced coffe and just plain
old cold (as it stale in the cup) coffee.
I’ve never been able to get my head around cold coffee (well, unless it is coffee ice cream!). However, some day soon I may just have to give it a try. We’ve had quite the warm spell here lately so it may just help!
Hot moka pot coffee in the morning…tried iced one morning but it didn’t feel right somehow. I suppose climate has a lot to do with it. It”s been a cooler summer here(climate change or something), so I’m drinking more hot coffee. Although I did brew a jug of cold & have had a few glasses mid-afternoon. And a couple iced lattes while out. Overall though, I’d have to say I’m drinking more hot coffee this year(so far, Aug. could bring hotter temp’s).).
