I think the Moka is a great way to start the morning.

I alternate between french press & stovetop moka pot…but the moka pot usually wins out, for that first cup of the day. Although I just bought a single -serving size ‘fr/pr’ & I find I’m using it more often. And yes Happy Thanksgiving!

I did try it. It came out a little rough the first time, but the second time was like magic! However, it would’ve been a lot better with an ocean view in Italy. I think I could make a habit of using the stovetop espresso machine.

I’ll be curious to hear how you like stovetop espresso! Did you try it yet? I’d like to think my addiction is purely because of taste, but I do have a strong association with a little Italian apartment, an outdoor “deck” and an ocean view. Then again, I have since abandoned the “coffee club” at work because it just doesn’t have enough taste to compete with my own cup in the morning. It’s all I need!

Nothing like waking up to coffee making music dripping into the carafe of the automatic drip coffeemaker. The aromas travel directly down the hall and hit me while I’m trying to catch just a few more winks. Inhaling the coffee seems to give me a boost to get that first leg out and up and starting the day. Thanks to my husband for preparing the coffee first so we can clear our cobwebs. As the day progresses I love to use the French press. It is so direct and gives me such a clean pure cup of coffee without the coffee having to go through so much hassle. Happy Thanksgiving to all and thanks Mike for your great site. It was great finding you this year.

I use a drip-pot and a press, but use the drip-pot more often. I love the press, and think it gives the truest taste of a coffee, but the cleanup it requires means that I reserve it for weekends and for brewing up the very best beans I get.

I got SPOILED in Italy … I have now abandoned my other methods and become a coffee snob with my own stovetop espresso.
