I admit, most days I start off the day by making a batch of coffee in the drip coffee maker. It’s mainly because of the convenience factor. However, if I have time to slow down and enjoy my coffee or if I’m working on a coffee review, I’ll use a french press.

What about you? How do you make your coffee? If it’s not listed in the choices, please share in the comments what you use to brew your coffee.

Last week’s poll was “Hot Coffee Or Iced Coffee?

With the temperatures reaching broil, this seemed like the perfect poll.

It may be a million degrees outside, but Hot Coffee received the most votes, with 60% of the vote.

I have to admit, that I have never tried iced coffee, though I do drink it cold now and again, specially I’ve forgot I’ve made a coffee

The weather’s pretty mild where I am, so summers aren’t hot around here. However, even when I am in other locations where the temperatures are near triple digits, I still enjoy/prefer a hot cup of coffee in the mornings. I like iced coffees as a treat in the middle of the day or as dessert.

It doesn’t matter to me if it is summer or not I prefer a good cup of hot coffee. I will drink GOOD iced coffee at local cafes on occasion and have been known to make some at home but hot is the way I prefer my coffee.

Hot moka pot coffee in the morning…tried iced one morning but it didn’t feel right somehow. I suppose climate has a lot to do with it. It”s been a cooler summer here(climate change or something), so I’m drinking more hot coffee.

Iced Coffee finished up with just 40% of the vote.

i use the family Keurig K-Cup system to make my travel
mug coffee in the wee hours before i leave. it’s very
quick, consistent and cleanup is minimal.

later, i have the time to setup and grind, brew,
and savor a pour thru mug full with my lunch.
the beans i tend to use are much different
(organic and fair trade) than the common coffee break brands
and people in the kitchen eating area if the office
    always quiz me about;
    what ARE you doing?
    what IS that coffee?
and the all time locked in got em interested
    comment…can.may i PLEASE have a cup?

total submission to the zen of coffee is indicated
at that point along with some non work related
    chatter and glib comments.

First of all, thank you for the mention ;) Now onto how I make my coffee, I do it in several ways, sometimes I use my Tassimo and sometimes I cheat and use, dare I say, instant!!!. But I opted to select a Drip Coffee Maker, which I always think makes a nice coffee ;)

I use a vacuum pot to brew. Once I tried it, I cannot go back. It just never fails to brew a great cup.

I use a stainless steel stove top espresso (Moka).

I am a French Press woman although I have been known to use the drip coffee pot on occasion. Drip coffee is easy to make, I will grant it that.

Lately I have been using the Clever Coffee Dripper. But I still like my Chemex, Aeropress, or Melitta pourover. Looking forward to learning the v60 Hario cone soon. I only drink machine drip from my Fetco brewer at our bakery, which took me 2 weeks to dial in.

I find I’m using my moka pot most of the time. Although I did use the Aeropress for the first time in almost a month, the other day. And I started more cold brew in the french press this evening. I also used my little single cup french press to make a hot cup last week.
