Not too long ago, my answer would’ve been higher, but right now I’m in the three to five cup range. The reason for the decrease is that I’m working in an office and spending a lot more time driving. In the office, there is a coffee maker and on the road there’s Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, but none of it compares to the coffee that I could make when I was working full time from home.

Enough about me, how many cups do you drink on an average day?

Last week’s poll was “Do You Drink Decaf?” and it was one of the most popular polls yet. Huge thanks to everyone that voted and commented.

The number one answer was “NO” and it more than doubled the other answer with 67% of the vote and 43 votes altogether.

No, I don’t but I’m about to! I posted this quote on my site’s facebook page yesterday “Decaffeinated coffee is the Devil’s blend!” and it created a little bit of a stir. There are people who cannot ingest caffeine due to medical restrictions, and that is unfortunate but I only posted the quote cuz it gave me a chuckle when I read it. No hard feelings towards anyone for having to, or even choosing to drink the stuff. Anyway, two coffee roasters claim to sell great decaf and that I won’t be able to tell the difference. Bring it on I say! I’m sure there are decent decafs out there, but I have had no reason to seek them out. I’ll let you know how it goes…via video of course ;)

My Dad loves coffee…. and mostly drinks decaf, which always confused me. It’s not a health issue for him, he just likes it.

I think I’ve had decaf once or twice my whole life. You’re right when you say coffee is for the flavor…

Drinking decaf is like drinking non-alcoholic beer.

“YES” finished up with just 21 votes.

I do drink Decaf as sometimes too much caffeine gives me very bad headaches, but saying that I love coffee and the headaches can be ignored ;)

Hello Mike, I don’t know why but I can drink gallons of regular black full-caffeine tea with no ill effects, but I cannot drink regular coffee. There must be some sort of something in coffee that combined with the caffeine does horrible things to me. So I must limit myself to decaf. Always on the lookout for a delicious, full-flavored fair trade organic decaf.

I drink decaf on occasion due to a heart condition but usually go for full strength with a kicker! You should have had “sometimes” as a choice in the poll. LOL!!! There are those of us who drink them both. I can’t say, “Enjoy them both” but I do partake of decaf on occasion.

Next time we have this poll, I’m including a sometimes answer. Thank you again to everyone that voted and left a comment.

Hi Mike, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve had a chance to stop by and say hello. Lately my coffee intake has been way too low, at best 1 cup every few days.

Hi Mike! I try not to guess at how many cups of coffee I drink! I don’t want to know! hahaha!

It depends on which cup I’m using. The soup bowl variety–about 2 1/2. Tall travel cup–three. It might be somewhere between four and six with an actual coffee cup, but what’s the fun in that? (I no longer remember how many cups my french press makes…)

at a minimum 2 full travel thermos.
mine is a 16 ounce cap. leak proof type.
does that count as more than 2 cups?
#1 – necessary on the very early AM commute.
(i use my Keurig brewer for this and brew
with 2 ‘bold’ K-cups.
#2 – with lunch … and since i have a bit more
time to properly select to taste, i grind the
beans and dripbrew this one.
i also drink iced teas in warmer weather
like right now but they don’t count on a
coffee blog…

I usually drink 3 to 5 cups a day. That is a somewhat decreased consumption, used to be more like 6 to 8 cups a day. I go in cycles. Whatever the amount I am always in the coffee!

Ciao!
