Poll: How Much Coffee Do You Drink Daily?

This week’s question is one of my favorite polls. “How Much Coffee Do You Drink Daily?

There’s no question about it, I drink a lot of coffee, about six to nine cups of coffee a day. I’m a proud coffee addict, but of my friends and family, I’m the one who drinks the most coffee. However, the last time I did this poll there were more than a few people that drink the same amount or more coffee than me. It makes me feel like part of the elite group!

Anyways, how much coffee do you drink? Do you always drink the same amount? I really don’t have a target, but I’ll have some coffee when I wake up, more coffee in the afternoon and another cup or two in the evening when I’m blogging.

Last week’s poll was “Do You Buy Whole Beans Or Ground Coffee?

Almost double the number of people said that they buy whole beans. The final tally was 66 percent.

And I always buy whole bean… this last time I watched it get roasted… so beautiful

Melody said:

Of course I buy whole bean. I can’t really imagine buying pre-ground coffee. Coffee is going to be best when ground right before being used, not weeks earlier!

Ryan Braby said:

Most of the coffee I buy is still green and I home roast it. However, I ussually have a small stash of whole bean roasted coffee on a shelf for those days when I’m out of fresh roasted.

Rob Teplansky said:

I buy whole bean coffee. I think it makes a notable different in the flavor, plus it gives me the flexibility to use a different grind depending on whether I use my drip coffee maker, French press, or espresso machine. (And it helps me to wake the kids up for school in the morning!)

There were some in betweens like Dom W.

Dom W said:

Freshly roast whole-bean for preference – usually from Monmouth’s in London. Have had bad experiences with “mass packaged” whole-bean, so prefer to buy ground if I can’t get fresh.

Robb Sutton said:

Whole bean all the way and grind as needed.

Ground is ok when I am dealing in everyday bulk…but when I really want to enjoy a cup of coffee…it is ground before brewing.

Thrity-four percent voted that they buy ground coffee, but there was only one brave soul who admitted that they strictly buy ground coffee.

Check 1-2.. Ground coffee here Mike.

At some point, I’ll finally convince John that whole beans make for better coffee.

2 in the morning, 1-2 during the work day and generally a homemade “latte” in the afternoon. My granddaughter (2) often enjoys her afternoon “coffee” (tablespoon of coffee in a mug of milk) with me. I am corrupting my sweet grandbaby :) .

I am a 6-9 cup kind a guy. I use to do more but had to cut back cause of headache’s from withdraw when I didn’t keep up with that kind of consumption. 6 in the morning plus a nice afternoon or early evening coffee is the best.

I drink half to a full pot by myself almost everyday. I don’t have a grinder, so I buy ground coffee, but I try to buy high quality….

I have a 64 oz cup that I fill up twice a day. Often if I dont have to get up early the next day I’ll fill it up a third time. So if a standard cup of coffee is 8 oz I can go through 16-24 cups in a day. And I am almost done with my second “cup” on a Saturday so I most likely will have some later this afternoon. :-)

I’m a caffeine lightweight, 1 – 2 cups a day. On the mornings my wife doesn’t leave me enough I’ll end up making 3 cups worth, have two hot in the morning and an ice coffee midday.

1 cup brewed Kona coffee in the morning and a cup of “whatever” when I’m out and about. This could be Starbucks or Coffee Bean (blah – I don’t do that blended milkshake garbage).

If I am around Burbank I make it a point to stop at “Priscilla’s” and have a real cup of java.
