Poll: Is Coffee On Your Christmas List This Year?

by Mike on December 5, 2009 in Polls

Shopping, Coffee And Snow

This week’s poll question is “Is Coffee Or A Piece Of Coffee Equipment On Your Christmas List This Year?

So are you hoping to unwrap something coffee related this holiday season? If so, what’s on your list?

I kind of need a new drip coffee maker, I’d like a frothing pitcher and thermostat to make even better lattes, I even have some coffee related books on my list,  but what I really want is coffee. I have family and friends all over the country, it would be great to get some coffee from some of their local coffee shops. My brother bought me some from Seattle last year and I think it really increased my love of coffee.

And to all my friends and family that I’m shopping for this year, don’t worry you might get lucky and get something other than coffee.

Last week’s question was “Where Do You Hangout Online And Talk Coffee?

Twitter was the runaway favorite with 67% of the vote.

Spending more time on twitter(not always talking coffee), but definitely more than I am at http://www.coffeegeek.com these days. But between you & Jason & Nate…oh & Poul at Transcend/ @transcendcoffee -every now’n’then-I’m usually talkin’ a fair bit of coffee talk.

When I’m hanging out in a coffeehouse, sometimes I’m glued to my phone because I’m checking twitter & tweeting.

Facebook came in second with 25%

Forums and Ning tied with 17%.

“Someplace else” received one vote.

And “I don’t” also received one vote.

I’m still open for suggestions, where do you like to hangout?

For sure! I was thinking of my past job barista at Books A Million bookstore coffee shop “Joe Muggs”, we used “Royal Cup”. One of my favorite flavored coffees sold there was “Southern Pecan”. It has a true nutty flavor not harsh at all very smooth. Very easy going down not overpowering. That is about it for now I’m sure I’ll add to the list before 12/25. Oh can’t forget a couple new mugs with big handles. Everyone have a great week!

I still haven’t gotten to Books A Million yet. I found out that they definitely do have a Joe Muggs there so maybe when I do some of my Christmas shopping next week, I’ll go there.

You can never have enough mugs with big handles!

Coffee has become part of my life for the past 10 years. I have become used to instant coffee, which I drink most of the time. Just today I have received a pre-Christmas coffee gift. Most of the time Coffee is on my shopping list, and my family always provides enough supplies of various brands and flavors. Thank them for that. Vanilla and hazelnut have been the best flavors I enjoyed with my daily multiple shots of coffee.

By the way, since it’s my first time here, I must say that I like the idea you had of building up this blog.

Thanks for stopping by and the compliments! I think I’ve spotted you on some other blogs before.

For a while I was used to grocery store coffee, I suppose I can still drink it with lots of sugar and cream, but I’d much rather now have the stuff with flavor that doesn’t need to be hidden.
