Poll: Where Do You Buy Your Coffee

Coffee ChoicesThis weeks question is “Where Do You Buy Your Coffee?”

I used to buy all my coffee at the grocery store, but I’ve started to order a lot more coffee online. There’s much more selection online and the quality is definitely a lot better. However, if I had a local place that roasted their own coffee beans, I would definitely give them some of my money.

If you’re thinking about choosing “Other,” let me know what your other is. I’d love to hear what other options there are.

Last week’s random and unscientific poll was “Where Do You Get Your Daily Coffee?”

Sixty percent of you answered from home. That’s my answer too. You can’t beat the price and the quality that you get by making your own coffee is on a whole other level.

Thirteen percent of you said Dunkin Donuts. I’m very disappointed with this group and think you should read my Dunkin Donuts boycott post.

Another thirteen percent said other. Please, explain to me what other is. I should’ve made that a requirement of choosing that answer, because now I’m super curious.

Seven percent get your coffee at your neighborhood coffee shop. I’m jealous, I wish I had a convenient neighborhood coffee shop.

Another seven percent said Starbucks. A good choice and I also wish I had a Starbucks that was easy to get to in the mornings.

Zero people choose McDonald’s. What does that say about the “Coffee Wars” between McDonald’s and Starbucks? Probably not much, but it’s still interesting that no one choose Mickey D’s.

Thanks to everyone that voted this week!

  1. I picked other because I don’t buy exclusively at any of the three choices – it depends on the deal and what I’m looking for. If I’m buying green beans for roasting, I tend to favor Dean’s Beans – and I buy online, though technically, Dean’s is kinda local. And since I’m the only one in the house who really has strong preferences in coffee, and I’m on a limited budget, I’ll often pick up coffee at the supermarket for the roommate who drank the burnt rubber at the office without complaining for years.

So that’s why everyone is picking other! I was beginning to wonder if there’s a source of coffee that I don’t know about. Now I know.

I went with the Grocery store, I dont actually purchase the coffee for the house but I do know it comes from a Grocery store.

I haven’t seen anything that really impressed me at the local grocery stores, so I’m happy with what I’ve found online. Plus, I’m still looking to see if there’s any local coffee roasters.
