Review Of The Bay Coast Coffee Market

Bay Coast Coffee Market

The Location: Bay Coast Coffee Market

Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Coffee Cups

If you’re ever in Clearwater, Florida and can peel yourself away from the beach, make sure to stop by the Bay Coast Coffee Market. I’ve been to many coffee shops, but this my new favorite, at least in Florida.

I discovered the Bay Coast Coffee Market by accident one evening. It wasn’t on any of the coffee shop searches online and I would’ve never have known about it if I hadn’t driven past it during a rush hour commute home when I was avoiding a fender bender that was blocking all lanes of traffic. I didn’t have time to stop then, but Friday night I went back to do some research, of course, by research I mean trying out their coffee.

It’s no shock that I ordered a mocha, it’s become my standard of testing. The service was exceptionally friendly except the one Red Sox fan who didn’t like my New York Yankees debit card. It’s a nice change to have staff wait on me who are genuinely happy to see me even though it was busy.

The time it took to make the drink was about as long as it would at Starbucks, but it tasted so much better. The mocha was softer, more rich tasting and didn’t bury the espresso. The espresso itself had a definite nutty flavor that tasted perfect with the mocha. The price was cheaper than Starbucks too.

In addition to delicious coffee drinks, Bay Coast Coffee Market has a breakfast menu, desserts and when I was there, the counters were lined mouth watering thin crust pizzas, the makings for sandwiches and salads.

There’s plenty of seating to eat there or just relax while you enjoy your drink. It’s a perfect place to study, work on your laptop or just hangout with friends.

If you’re looking for something to bring home, they sell whole bean coffees, teas and just about every coffee accessory that I could imagine. I was in haven looking at their coffee cups, French Presses and my dream come true, the $1700 Espresso Machine.

Bay Coast Coffee Market is open every day from 7 am to 11 pm and is located at 2525 Gulf To Bay Blvd. in Clearwater, Florida.

I’ll definitely be going back soon to explore more of their menu.

Wow. I lived in the Tampa Bay area from 1994-1998 and even worked in Clearwater. Almost every place was AWFUL back then. So glad to read that some quality has come to the area. I couldn’t take another beach coffee place serving stale Illy.

I can tell you there’s at least two good places in the Tampa area, this place and the Bunker in Ybor. Both of them are new additions in the past few years.

As far as the coffee shops near the beach, I know exactly what you’re talking about!

Bunker, eh? If I make to Guavaween this year, I’ll check it out.

I have to agree, it’s a nice change compared to Starbucks, plus it’s local.
