What role does coffee play in my life?
two words…
pleasure and functionality
The role of coffee in my life? Two words— Pleasure and functionality
I have coffee in my veins!! I´ve been crushed when i was 7 years old and my grandma gives me my first cup of fresh toasted coffee from chanchamayo – Perú… since then, breakfast without coffee is not the same!! Now, in the office i take 3 daily cups at least. I love espresso and variations adding liquors (pisco, anis or whisky for an Irish) Instant coffee is just far away on my house. Yes, i’m an addict!!
As the former owner of an indie coffeehouse, I really missed my iced latte treat right around lunch time every day. I saw Seattle’s Best Iced lattes featured in a convenience store promotion about 2 months ago and decided to try one. I had fallen in love with the “other brand” of iced latte many years ago, but they’re far too expensive an indulgence on more than “occasional” basis. This tasty little cans, however, aren’t super expensive and they’re GOOD! I have to limit myself to one can/day because I could drink a 4-pack every afternoon! I highly recommend Seattle’s Best Iced lattes!!!
Just love coffee! no coffee, no me!

Coffee plays a big role in my life! I have to have it everyday…I didnt use to drink coffee until I met my now husband. He loved and got me drinking it..Im not one of those people who want to try to “cut back” on coffee. It recently has been proven that coffee is good for you…so there! lol
I’ve been a soda drinker all my life.
Until I found out that Dads old nasty Foldgers wasn’t really coffee. Well to me it was just Nasty.
Now, Daily shot of coffee has invaded my life and enriched me with flavor and bold inviting taste(Wake up Call). Forget the High Fructose Corn syrup in soda along with the list of ingredients. Hot water and coffee beans fulfill my caffeine fix now.
I love iced coffee, but the stuff in the can or jar gives me a tummy ache. I prefer to get my iced coffee from a coffee shop or make my own.
Coffee starts every day for me. Either a cup from our Gaggia Titanium or the french press. I am a confirmed coffee junkie and will do without food before giving up coffee. I have tried Seattles Best canned drinks and think they are great. Sorry to say we only have Starbucks in our area, but I do buy Seattle Best coffee at the supermarket. They make a great product.
I’m stoked to try it out! Great review as well, I’m totally about tweeting this.

I work in the pharmacy department in one of our city’s largest hospitals and I would say coffee is as vital to us as life support is to a comatosed patient. One morning our coffee maker went on the fritz! We were lost! Here is an excerpt of our conversation:
Head-honcho-Pharmacist – “What’s wrong?” Me – “Coffee maker’s not working” Head-honcho-Pharmacist – “NOO?!” Me – “It’s not sucking up water” Pharmacist#2 – “What now?” Head-honcho-Pharmacist – “Buy a new one! Now!”
Yup, there you have it! Work was dropped and ran down to a 24 hours Shoppers Drug Mart at 8:00am to purchase a new $25 coffee maker!
Coffee completes me. I depend on it. Way. To. Much.
Coffee is my drug of choice.
To answer your question, Coffee has been a part of my life ALL my life. My mother mixed it in my bottle with the milk when I was a baby. I remember it on the table for breakfast as a small child. My family, (Dad’s in particular) have always been big coffee drinkers. I have almost every gadget, pot, press, you name it to make coffee. I drink it all day long. Coffee is as much a part of my heritage as my family name.
Coffee starts my day and keeps me going.hot coffee iced coffee as long as it’s caffeinated I love it!

Coffee’s the kick-start for every new day of life!
The role coffee plays in my life? A major starring role. It’s the 3rd thing I do in the morning upon rising. Grind the beans and get the pot going. It’s what I crave when I’m depressed – or what I celebrate with when I’m happy! I’m firmly convinced the ambrosia the Greek God’s partook of was really coffee.
I am not a big fan of canned or bottled coffee drinks – however, one that doesn’t taste chemically would definitely “perk” my interest.

Coffee plays an important role in my life, it wakes me up, cuddles and nurtures me and then puts me to sleep at night. Really it does! I love this frenetic little bean in its many forms and would love to try the Seattle’s Best Canned Lattes. I haven’t seen them locally or I’d probably go buy some just based on Mike’s suggestions.
Cheers,
Ardee-ann
I don’t drink coffee, but I love coffee flavoured drinks like frappuccinos.
Coffee sets both pace and mood for me; a good darkish roast Sumatra in the morning to help me say HELLO!, and a homemade skinny iced latte w/ a decaf in the afternoon … or DeCaf Sumatra , hot or iced, afternoon and evening…but I love its flavor enough I’m unlikely to gussy it up with syrups or sweeteners. Since I got an AeroPress I am definitely savoring my coffees more and more.
coffee has been a significant part of my life for many years now. In my formative years, I started drinking from a 60 cup coffee earn at church pot lucks having to sweeten it up with lots of milk and sugar just to tolerate it. Out on my own it was hanging at all night diners drinking cup after cup over intimate conversations. All of this took place before many of specialty coffee shops were barely in diapers. However moving to the big city I had thoughts of grandeur seeking out the hip coffee shops where I could read all day and discuss philosophy with fellow patrons. This is what I imagined the 60′s early 70′s counter culture to have been like, I was disapointed as most of those places were no where to be found. It was then I took to seeking out the best beans I could find, grinding them fresh and pressing. During these years of experimentation and trying every new bean I could find, new independent coffee houses were popping up, albeit too many closed too quickly due to the chain specialty stores. Today, I look forward each day to finding that perfect bean that my taste buds will awake to. Maturity has taken me from quantity to quality in just the place.
I have two luxeries in life. Coffee, is one of them. It can’t just be good coffee, it has to be great coffee! Buy the best, most fresh beans, grind them right before brewing, and use a French Press to get every bit of goodness from them.
Treat yourself well, you are worth it.
I guess my email gives it away! “Neverlatte” refers to my dislike for being late, but moreso, I’m usually never without a latte! As a barista, my favorite aroma in the world surrounds me as I work; what could be better? Every morning my brewer is set for 5:35 and I awaken to the rich aroma. That’s just to get me TO my job as a barista!
I love, love, love coffee!!!!
I never really drank coffee til my late 20s when I met my, now, husband. He has taught me everything I know about good strong, coffee. Now, if I don’t get my 1st cup of coffee in the morning, I’m toast for the afternoon. A good cup of coffee after a morning run is a great relaxing way to mentally prepare for my day! Love this giveaway! Thanks!
coffee, coffee
I need coffee
I have loved coffee since high school! What started out as a social treat turned into a ritual. Coffee comforts, invigorates, brings people together, and is just plain yummy! Coffe is something that can be counted on to be ever present even if not always consistent!
Coffee plays a big role in my life. Everything is ok with a belly full of coffee!
I have loved coffee since I was a small girl and my father served me “coffee milk”..mostly milk flavored with coffee…it smells good, tastes better and is my go to drink for relaxation and as a pick me up…have to go and make a cup right now:)
can coffee
can smile
Coffee keeps me awake and also is my stress relief when I need some “me” time
I have loved coffee and it has been a big part of my life ever since my grandmother unknowingly introduced me to lattes when I was a toddler. Ever since she gave me my first taste of coffee mixed with a generous amount of milk, I was hooked and could not get enough–I still can’t. At this point, I think I have every coffee gadget but a Chemex, and I am constantly looking for and buying new/different brands of coffee beans. I’m drinking an iced coffee now (of another brand), but I have the SBC iced versions in my refrigerator as I type! That said, I could always use more. . .
Regular coffee hasn’t played a huge role in my life. I’m a sucker to try something flavored and spruced up though. I’ve been drinking the bottled frappucinos for years, but wanted to try this sleek looking can from Seattle’s Best. The iced mocha is my favorite. I think they are in a trial run or something in my area because now that I’m hooked I can’t find them! Ahhh!
Coffee plays a supporting role in my life. A warm mugfull in the morning helps to greet the day. I really do prefer good coffee, and I’ll often go without if there isn’t any good stuff around. Americanos are where it’s at!
Japanese iced coffees are the best! I wish they would bring them over here. I hadn’t heard of the Seattle’s Best cans until now. I’ll have to give them a try.
Coffee plays a huge role in my life. I’ve been relying on it ever since I was in high school studying for the SATs and AP tests, then it became my best friend as an undergrad in college (all nighters galore) and now I always have a cup (or can or bottle) of it before work, at the local coffee shop on a lunch break, and whenever I catch up with friends. Yes, I just got really deep about coffee.
I. Love. Coffee. I’ve been drinking coffee since I was in elementary school (no wonder I’m short xD) I started by taking sips of my father’s sweet coffee with lots of sugar&milk, but since the 8th grade my taste changed to a simple, black coffee. What kind of role coffee plays in my life? It helps me survive. It’s a necessity.
i think Mike has an interest in this.
not a coffee topic for sure but still of interest
for some of us who have friends or family affected.

Just saw that you posted this link, I’m going to check it out. Thanks for sharing!
and another comment (got this topic all to myself so far)
is the admission that there are ‘artificial flavors” (plural)
in 2 of these drinks.
come on guys…
maybe the iced latte (no flavor) is the best entry point
for a fussbudgetguy like me.
the Seattles Best website doesn’t show the
LEVEL 4 ‘organic bean’ but they do show it in stores.
(funny!)
http://www.seattlesbest.com/coffee-diorama.aspx
not sure why the can team didn’t show LEVEL on these
canned drinks Mike… based on the color of the small
cup logo, i’d say you get the LEVEL 3 roast.
red = red which might be as roasted in their
lineup as you would really care to go.
oh! another comment directed to the canned
coffee… Seattle’s Best has a pretty tasty
Organic Level 4 bean which would hold up well
in a hot or cold latte experience.
i’d love to see an organic bean in one of these.
one thing i have noticed about iced coffee
is that the coffee brew has to be strong enough
to come out from behind the sugar, water and
other flavors in the blend.
weak is …not so much…
I second that. I would be a lot more willing to pick up a canned coffee it was organic (not just the beans too) and if the coffee flavor didn’t get buried. For the record, I think these canned coffees have a good balance.

i’m of a mixed mind when it comes to canned coffee Mike.
or canned drinks on the whole.
someone DID let me try this (not sure now which one)
at a local cookout last month. i was fairly impressed
but it was a bit too dark to tell which one they asked
me to try. they aren’t easy to find on the E Coast.
on this note i have had and actually enjoy HOT iced
coffee from the SB place…. maybe the Seattles Best
will hold up in a heated serve environment.
so – you said ‘… liked the Iced Latte and Vanilla Iced Latte, but I loved the Iced Mocha. It wasn’t just drinkable, it was gulpable…’
what numeric score does this translate to for each?
curious minds want to know.
i think, and who cares, that the design and layout of
these drink cans is attractive. if i see them locally
i’ll try all 3 based on your proto reviews.
More than a few years ago now, I worked in a mall that both Starbucks and Seattle’s Best. At first, I went to Seattle’s best because the line was shorter, but then I started going because I thought their coffee and coffee drinks were better.
Scores are tough, I thought about including them but since they’re not easy to rate like coffees, I left them out. If I was forced, I would say the Iced Latte was a 3, Vanilla Latte a 3.25 and Iced Mocha a 3.5.
thanks for the numerical effort Mike.
the one i tried, in the dark no less, seemed
pretty good as a cold drink but i couldn’t
make out which of them it was and in the
holiday rush didn’t save the can.
