Starbucks Natural Fusions Cinnamon Review
The Drink: Starbucks Natural Fusions Cinnamon
Type: Ground Flavored Coffee
Overall Rating: 3.25 Out Of 5 Coffee Mugs
I’m rounding out my reviews of the three Starbucks Natural Fusions flavored coffees with a review of the Cinnamon flavor. The Vanilla flavored impressed me. The Caramel flavor was good. Now, it’s time to see if the Cinnamon was worth writing home about or not.
The Starbucks Natural Fusions Cinnamon aroma was loaded with cinnamon flavor. It reminded me of cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven and it’s enough of a flavor that it’ll scare away anti-flavored coffee drinkers. However, I was a fan.
The taste was a different story. The taste was dominated just a little bit too much by an over the top dark roast flavor. From the first drop on my tongue to the after taste, the coffee had a distinctive dark flavor that I couldn’t escape. However, I was impressed with the cinnamon flavor that was trying to peek out from the thick layer of dark roast. It had a natural flavor, that was just about perfect.
If Starbucks would just turn the roast dial a notch, I think this one would’ve been another hit like the Vanilla. However, I think at this roast, it scared me and will probably scare other flavored coffee fans.
Even though I didn’t fall head over heels for this coffee, I do wish that more coffee roasters would use natural flavors like Starbucks. I’ve said it before, but you can really taste the difference.
Overall, a good coffee with some great attributes and earned a slightly above average 3.25 on the Daily Shot Of Coffee scale. If you’re a dark roast fan and you have someone coming over that’s a flavored coffee fan, this is just about as much of a compromise as you’re going to get.
You can find the Starbucks Natural Fusions at many grocery stores and try it for yourself.
Have you tried any of the Starbucks Natural Fusions? What’s your opinion?

i did try the SB vanilla fusion as my family has a thing
for vanilla flavors. and it was a pretty good flavored coffee Mike.
even in that one however, i did get an overroasted bite
along with the vanilla and it took away some
of the attraction. i guess i’d as much rather brew my own
coffee and add real vanilla flavoring of my own.
your review of this one seems to confirm my thought.
i’d as much rather make a cup of coffee and add real
powdered cinnamon myself than pull a full bag of this
one off the shelf.
by the way, i already add powdered cinnamon to
to my coffee on a pretty frequent basis for a change.
the only issue i have it mixing it well enough to have it
flavor the entire travel mug…not just sit on top.
of the coffees you’ve been UP on recently, the
Columbian Finca and the Starbucks Mexican
organic shade grown beans have had the most
appeal. both are/were superb drinks.
I’m going to have to try the adding powdered cinnamon to coffee to see what it tastes like.
Those are probably two of my favorite coffees that I’ve reviewed recently. Wait until you read about the coffee that I’m writing about for tomorrow. I think you’ll like it.
