Starbucks made the most headlines this week, by increasing their profits and raising their prices, but there’s a lot more going on in the coffee world then what’s happening inside their stores.

Sexpresso Ordinance Coming?
A week can’t go by without a story on the bikini coffee shops. Plus, this one had the word sexpresso in it, which makes me think the headline writers were just having a little bit too much fun.

Study: Coffee and tea may lower diabetes risk

McDonald’s to lift fee for Internet access
Listen up Starbucks, McDonald’s is giving away their wifi for free. I know that technically yours is free too, but we have to make a purchase, have a Starbucks card, etc. It’s time to get rid of at least the Starbucks card restriction. In Europe, I’ve heard that they have free wifi because of a partnership with T-Mobile. To make matters worse, I’ve heard that you’re going to make it five purchases before we get access to their “free” wifi. Starbucks don’t leave us out in the cold. Put a code on the receipt that gives them access to wifi for two hours if you really want to make sure only paying customers use the wifi.
Upset woman redefines coffee break at Peet’s in Chico
This woman obviously needed her coffee. Just because she didn’t buy her coffee inside that Peet’s they should’ve allowed her to get her cream and sugar there. There’s times when you just need your caffeine and this was obviously one of those times.
