The Perfect Coffee For Thanksgiving: Uganda Bugisu From BODY

The Drink: Uganda Bugisu From Barista On Duty
Type: Whole Bean Single Origin
Overall Rating: 4.25 Out Of 5 Coffee Mugs

I was looking forward to my next coffee from Barista On Duty, a Uganda Bugisu. I’ve had a handful of coffees from Uganda and all of them have been memorable. Plus, the beans were roasted with some tenderness, love and care by Barista On Duty, so I had a feeling that I was going to be in for a treat.

That feeling was confirmed by the aroma. It was a fruity aroma, loaded with berries. It seemed like I was about to pour a mix of blueberries and cranberries into my mouth, not coffee. There was a hint of nuttiness in the background that balanced it out…a little.

From the first sip, I knew that it was indeed a Mike kind of coffee. It exploded with berry flavor that I can best describe as sweet cranberry flavor. That was followed by a slight tartness and a nutty flavor in the backend.

It had a medium body, with a syrupy feel that lingered on my tongue.

What can I say I really loved this coffee. It earned an excellent rating of 4.25 on the Daily Shot Of Coffee scale. It’s perfect for right after Thanksgiving dinner or every day. I sure don’t need a holiday to drink this coffee.

Fine Print.

      • Yes Mike, We Have A Lot That We Are Implementing Now, But One Thing For Sure If It Says Cush It Is Organic Certified Or Non Certified & #FairTrade #MoreThanFair Or #DirectTrade Certified. Looking Forward To The New Year Of Bringing More Information Of Ethical Farming & Sustainability To The Forefront! Thanks Again For Your Attention To Detail In Educating Consumers.

  2. wow! a bean that explodes on your tongue.
i could use that in the early morning.
    great label photo!
i’d be tempted, if it actually exploded for me,
to give this a higher rating IF the beans
were organic but perhaps that isn’t to be.

  4. Thanks Mike For The Excellent Review! I Have To Say Uganda Bugisu Is A Nice Coffee, Complex In Finding A Median. My Goal With This One Was To Hit The Sweet Spot, Too Dark And This Coffee Can Turn A Non Dark Drinker Away, Because Of It’s Strength! I Wanted To Capture Some Of The Lighter Characteristics, Without Them Being Too Alive! In All, A Very Interesting Cup. Glad You Found Pleasure In The Customization Experience!
