If you’re like me, you probably have at least one mug lurking in your cabinet that coffee left stained. For months, I’ve had a couple of these mugs hanging around, the stains survived a couple trips through the washing machine and even some good hard scrubbing with dish soap. Today, I learned a trick that made those stains disappear forever.
All you’ll need to clean a stained coffee mug is baking soda and a damp rag.
The Before Picture
- First rinse out the mug. You don’t need the mug filled with water, just a little wet.
- Pour a small amount of baking soda on to the damp mug.
- Gently scrub the mug. Most of it will come off easily. For harder stains, just add more baking soda and use a little elbow grease.
The After Picture
It all took less than a minute and came out looking shinny and all brand new.
