Type: Ground
Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5 coffee cups

I’ve read about Community Coffee a few places online and they’ve been on my list of coffee companies to try for a while now. Last week, they found me and sent me some of their coffee, including their Private Reserve French Vanilla.

I know that not everyone is a fan of flavored coffees, but I am and French Vanilla is one of my long time favorites. There’s is one of the better ones that I’ve tried.

After I brewed the coffee, I couldn’t miss the French Vanilla aroma filling the kitchen. It was a sweet, relaxing smell and not too over the top.

Their French Vanilla is a medium-dark roast, but the darker roast really comes through in the taste. I’m not the biggest fan of dark roasts, but this one I did enjoy. Initially it was a little bitter, but after giving it a few minutes to cool down, it became very smooth and drinkable.

As far as the French Vanilla flavor, it wasn’t too overwhelming, so it could be an everyday kind of coffee and it’s perfect for a dessert coffee.

I’d say it was a full body coffee, with a very long and delicious taste.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the coffee was on the bag, the brew by date was 1/9/2010. My coffee was fresh, but I don’t know if it would be the same in January of next year. However, I guess that you could say I’m becoming a snob or really picky about the freshness of my coffee.

Overall, I enjoyed this coffee and I’m looking forward to my next cup.

You can buy this coffee for $7.99 at Community Coffee. It does come in a ground or whole bean version.
