French Toast And Coffee

The Drink: French Toast Coffee
Type: Whole Bean
Roast/Body: Air Roasted With A Light Body
Overall Rating: 3.5 Out Of 5 Cups

For as long as I can remember, French Toast has made regular appearances on my breakfast plate. When the Best Thing To Happen To Coffee sent me a sample of their French Toast Coffee to review, my mouth started to water.

Of course, I couldn’t just sample the coffee without making French Toast to pair with it. However, that created a problem. When I tried to taste the coffee while eating the French Toast, the food overwhelmed the drink. It was the perfect compliment to the meal, especially after I added a touch of sugar, but I really couldn’t get a good idea of what exactly I was drinking.

Afterward, I forced myself to brew another batch, to give it a real tasting. It was definitely worth the extra effort.

Cinnamon, vanilla and a little bit of maple syrup aroma floated out of the cup. Unlike the aroma of some other flavored coffees, in no way was it overwhelming.

The taste reminded me of French Toast, but wasn’t over the top either. The cinnamon really stood out on my tongue, giving the drink a bold, but relaxing feel. A slightly smoky flavor, gave the cup a mature taste, that really brought it all together.

Like the other coffees that I’ve tried from the Best Thing To Happen To Coffee, it’s very smooth, with zero bitterness. I could taste the air roasting (an alternative method to roasting coffee beans that doesn’t involve direct contact with the heat) difference.

I gave it an above average rating of 3.5 out of 5 cups. If you like French Toast, it’s safe to say that you’ll really enjoy this coffee. It’s perfect for drinking with French Toast or with just about any breakfast.

A bag normally runs for $15 a bag, but right now is on sale for $8.99.

I don’t know about french toast flavored coffee but the picture you posted of the actual food looks divine! Is that your personal photo of the french toast you prepared? yum!

I wish it was my personal photo! I’m lacking a quality camera right now, plus my French Toast definitely didn’t come out look like that.

Mike you are seriously lucky that I just had a Bagel, if I would have seen this post before breakfast I would be at your front door…. Patiently waiting for French Toast to go along with my French Toast Coffee.
