What I’m Drinking – Mocha Marble Macchiato

The Drink: Marble Mocha Macchiato
Overall Rating: 2.5 out of 5 cups
If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that I love my drinks with mocha, especially from Starbucks. However, the other night I may have found a mocha drink that was even too much for me.
The drink is the Marble Mocha Macchiato. It’s made of white chocolate, mocha syrup, milk and espresso. They then top it with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. (Yes, drizzle is the technical term, I couldn’t have made it up if I wanted to.)
It’s a whole lot of calories, packed full of sugary chocolate deliciousness and believe it or not, it was too much, even for me.
The taste was too sweet and chocolate was overwhelming. As it cooled down, it did become slightly less intense, but it was still over the top. All I could think, was that I was drinking chocolate, milk and sugar with a little bit of coffee on the side. When I try it again, I’m going to try it with an extra shot of espresso.
Now the hardest decision is what to try next time. Any suggestions?
