What I’m Drinking – Romance By Paradise
The Drink: Romance By Paradise
Type: Whole Bean
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 cups
Hands down, Romance By Paradise is an excellent coffee. Coffee Review gave it a 95 rating, the highest rating ever for a coffee blend ever. If I had this coffee before the Yemen Ameera And Trade (also from Paradise Roasters), I would’ve loved it. However, I fell hard for the Yemen, it was everything I wanted in a light roast coffee, it stole my heart and other light roast coffees never had a chance.
The coffee actually includes the Yemen coffee, along with a blend of beans from Bali and Sumatra’s Lake Tawar.
Their description:
Romance by Paradise is a mokka (or mocha, mokha) java blend with notes of strawberries and raspberries, a sophisticated earthiness, and many different layers of ever-changing aromatics (dried flowers to chocolate to honey). This is a coffee that has both subtle and powerful characteristics.
The moment I poured it into my cup, I could smell the honey. After it cooled down, I took a stronger sniff and could smell a bit of chocolate and a light potpourri smell.
This is another great coffee for people that like tea. The strawberries and raspberries mixed well with the earthiness flavor that they described. After reading their description, I was worried that the earthiness would dominate the taste, but it really complimented the other flavors. I also tasted a little hint of cherry too.
It had a smooth, relaxing taste, a lot like tea. But there was also the coffee taste that made it stand out on my taste buds.
I give it a four out of five coffee cup ratings. It was a good great coffee but it just didn’t blow me away the way the Yemen Ameera did.
Romance By Paradise is on sale at ROASTe for $14.67 a pound. It’s more than your average price of a pound of coffee, but I look at it like a fine wine and worth every dollar.

may need to try this. Oh and on your coffee poll? I put half and half but I really use heavy cream…yes I do.
This -does- sound ymmy. Totally totally yummy.
And it’s half and half for me – light cream when I’m feeling really decadent. Maybe half a teaspoon of sugar once in a great great while. Iced coffee, though, I like black, no sugar.
marye – It looks like I should’ve included that as a choice instead of powdered milk. I swear I had a couple people tell me the use powdered milk, but now that it’s in the poll, they’re nowhere to be found.
Chameleon – It was delicious. I can’t remember the last time I used sugar in coffee, except with my iced coffee. For some reason, that I have to sugar in.
