What I’m Drinking: Starbucks Columbia Medium
by Mike on March 27, 2009 in Coffee Reviews
Right now, I’m sipping on Starbucks Columbia Medium brew. I bought a pound of it at the grocery store this week because I haven’t tried it yet, plus it was on sale. That’s always a plus in my books.
According to their packaging, it’s a Latina American Ground Coffee, medium bodied, smooth and well balanced coffee with a distinctive nutty flavor.
My Review:
There’s nothing super fancy about the taste this coffee to me. There’s nothing that really makes it stand out from the hundreds of other coffees that I’ve had. I’m not saying that I don’t like it, I actually do, there’s just nothing really great or memorable about it. There is somewhat of a nutty flavor, but that might just be because I read it on the package and my taste buds are imagining it.
The package says that it was ground back in last July. Seems like some or a lot of the flavor has gone missing since then. If anyone sees it, please return it ASAP.
I’m drinking it black right now, but there is a good chance I’ll be adding sugar and flavored coffee creamer when I go back for a second cup.
