What I’m Drinking – Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino

The Drink: Starbucks Java Chip Frappucino
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 coffee cups
It was the perfect afternoon for a Starbucks Frappuccino here on the Suncoast of Florida. It was 94 plus degrees and just walking out the door, I felt like I would melt away. Plus, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. The perfect combination for needing a Frap.
I’ve had just about every frap on the menu at my local Starbucks except for the Java Chip. I was really surprised that there were only four choices. I swear the frap menu has shrunk since last summer.
The Java Chip frap is chocolate and java chips, combined with coffee, milk and blended with ice. It’s then topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. They describe it as a chocolate lovers dream and as chocolate enthusiast myself, I have to agree.
I got chocolate chips in just about every sip. It reminded me of a luscious chocolate chip ice cream. The only thing I didn’t like was when the chocolate chips became stuck in the straw, keeping me from my caffeine.
This drink totally hit the spot taste wise, a nice blend with the espresso and it also kept me awake. It even became better as it melted. Can you tell I really like this drink?
Do you have a favorite frap or cool summer drink?
