Win Barista On Duty Coffee And A Vietnamese Coffee Filter
This year November 26th isn’t just Black Friday, it’s also Johnny Milton’s birthday! Johnny is the man, the myth, the legend behind Barista On Duty. But instead of us giving him presents, he wants to give us presents! Two lucky winners will win a bag of his pan roasted artisan coffee and a Vietnamese coffee filter.
If you’ve never had Barista On Duty coffee, you’re definitely missing out. Some of the best coffees that I’ve reviewed have come from Barista On Duty. He roasts each small batch carefully to ensure maximum taste and will roast each order to the coffee drinker’s taste.
The Vietnamese coffee filter has quickly become one of my favorite ways to brew coffee. Just a few month ago I found out about this unique method of making coffee. Now I can’t get enough of it, especially when I mix it with condensed sweetened milk. It’s like a dessert coffee, but doesn’t hide the actual taste of the coffee. I highly recommend that you try it!
Here’s how you can win Barista On Duty Coffee and a Vietnamese Coffee Filter:
Leave a comment below about why you should win. Tell me why you would like to try BODY coffee, the Vietnamese coffee filter or any other reason why you think you should win. It’s that simple!
Earn bonus entries by sharing a link with your friends on Facebook or Twitter. Make sure to include a link share in a comment below, so that we can count it.
All entries must be received by Wednesday, December 1st at 5pm EST.
Winner will be chosen at random from all of the entries received and announced that evening.

I want to see if the Vietnamese filter can beat
the taste of coffee brewed in my Black&Decker
Infuse! Also want to compare BODY roast
with locally roasted organic fair-trade brand.
Mike!
upfront – i want to opt out of the contest as i’ve
won a few too many here.
but.. i have a question…
what is it with the Vietnamese and condensed sweetened milk?
is canned milk the only thing that keeps in the tropics
or was it a hold over from the French or just a Vietnamese
improvisation? i’d love to know how that came about in
their coffee habits.
I don’t know, but I’m going to ask my Vietnamese friend next time that I see him or see if Barista On Duty knows more.
Hi Howard Thanks For The Question. Originally Of Course The Vietnamese Adopted Coffee From The French, As Far As The Condensed Milk, As I Understand, It Was Hard Getting A Hold Of Steady Supplies Of Fresh Milk, Hence Condensed Milk Came About. Keep In Mind The Older Generation Normally Drinks The Vietnamese Coffee Black, While The Younger Generation Enjoys The Sweetened Dessert Coffee. Just A Tad More Coffee Info, The Coffee I Am Offering Is Whole Bean, Also Single Origin Robusta. Most Companies Sell Blends Of Vietnamese Coffee Also Pre-Ground. This Is As Close To Vietnam You Can Get Without Being There, Also Among The Freshest Vietnamese Coffee.Lastly My Vietnamese Coffee Is Fair Traded, As Well As More Than Fair Certified, I Have A Direct Relationship With The Farmer. Thanks Again N Good Luck To Everyone!
Thanks for stepping in and sharing some knowledge.
Mike, This is a truly good cup of coffee. It is dark, full of body, and quite unique. I’ve had the pleasure of experimenting with Vietnamese from Barist On DutY for several months now. I’ve prepared it drip, french press, phin filter, mokka pot, and espresso. Also, black, with honey and cream, and sweetened condensed milk. No matter how I prepare it, I come back for more. Please don’t enter me in the contest. Those that have not tried it, should.
i normally drink my coffee black so i guess
i know where that puts me….:)
have a good one Barista and thanks for
the enlightenment.
Not sure if I can enter (in Canada) but if I can I would love to. I want a waste free individual filter. I was given a Melitta that needed a filter and I drink a lot of coffee but hate waste. Also, I haven’t had a decent cup of coffee in years so I think trying this blend would be a great treat. Not sure if I deserve a great treat, but it would be nice
I want to try the Body coffee as a coffee lover and one desperately crying out for a new BODY!!!!!!! Happy Holidays
I love to try any new coffee! And I just heard someone raving about Vietnamese coffee and now I am really curious and would love to give it a try!
I haven’t had Vietnamese coffee in quite a while. I never thought to get my own Vietnamese coffee filter…I should as I’ve collected the drip, moka pot and french press. I brew up my coffee different ways depending on my mood…a nice cup of Vietnamese brewed coffee would be a wonderful addition to my coffee addiction *smile* I’m going to retweet this so others can read up on this. If anyone HASN’T tried this style of brewed coffee you SHOULD. It’s a very decadent rich treat
I just liked you on FB and shared this post on my profile and would love to see how this new brewing method tastes…love almost all kinds of coffee. And cant stand the weak stuff you get in a lot of places. Thanks for the offer!
What to say, what to say. Can never praise Johnny enough. I admire him so much, I even made an appreciation video for him once upon a time (http://bit.ly/bTqS0e)! He is a man of passion, hard work, and genuine word. He introduced me to the world of coffee, so my eyes and ears are always open to avenues of more knowledge. That’s why I’m entering the contest – this filter looks cool, and the caliber of Johnny’s coffee is a given. I don’t use facebook currently, but I’ve tweeted (http://bit.ly/eSZmuA) and am following @ShotOfCoffee now! Thought I was already from a previous contest. Anyway, thanks for spreading the BODY love! Good luck to everyone!

I posted a Tweet just now @BaristaOnDutY
I would like to learn how a Vietnamese coffee filter works. I was just in a discount store the other day and was surprised to see that several of their coffees listed Vietnam as country of origin.
I use french press now and can’t imagine beating that, but it looks interesting.
Thanks for the contests!
Love the blog and the tweets! I also love trying new (to me) ways of making quality cups of coffee. I’m intrigued by the Vietnamese coffee filter method and can’t wait to try it (if I win of course)!
Thanks

I love Vietnamese coffee. One time my wife drank so much that she made herself sick and cannot drink it outside. Now I make our coffee with a French Press. If I had the filter I could introduce it back to her and be able to drink it again myself. I would like to compare the Body coffee my normal beans as I am always on the lookout for the best beans possible.
Kim and I would love to try Johnny’s pan roasted coffee. Our favorite restuarant here is a Vietnamese place. It is where we had Vietnamese style coffee for the first time. The food and coffee are very good!
Happy belated birthday Johnny! I second your comments about the condensed milk. We were told something similar.
Hi! A number of years ago, I ate at the original Pasteur, a well-known Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago. The food was memorable, but the coffee was even more spectacular! Since then, I have occasionally incorporated sweetened, condensed milk into homemade espresso (tiny Krups espresso maker), but I would really love the more authentic experience of trying and enjoying the Vietnamese Coffee Filter and Barista on Duty Coffee–mmmmm! Thanks for the contest, and Happy Belated Birthday, Johnny!
Ive been a bold/strong coffee lover (and a foodie) for many years and always try a new variation when presented the opportunity. Never had Vietnamese though . . . And I need a show-n-tell item to share with my foodie cubical neighbor, he has been bringing samples of the BEST fresh roasted coffee and I want to return the pleasure. Drink more coffee.
I love trying different coffees and different coffee brewers. So far my favorite is the Americano… Let’s see if the Vietnamese can beat the Italians!
I would like to try the BODY coffee because I am always on the lookout for different kinds and flavors of coffee- I love different blends…
Being pregnant I have to make right choices.
fingers crossed
I have a feeling this coffee would be great for us
