Starting tomorrow, I’m starting the process of reviewing six blends from Newhall Coffee. But, I’m not the only one that is going to taste their coffees. To make things interesting, they shipped six extra coffees for me to giveaway to one lucky Daily Shot Of Coffee Reader. The winner will take home 12 ounces of their Organic California Blend, Mammoth’s Bow-Chicka-Pow-Pow Blend (my favorite name for a coffee ever), Beatnik Espresso, Surf & Snow Blend, Earthquake Blend and Sunset Blvd. Blend.

This is not to mention that I drink far too much Beaumont and ahemMaxwellHouseahem coffee. Neither of these sell any sort of coffee related to seismic activity, and I have felt this omission keenly.
First off, I’ve never tried any of their coffee before.
Second, I don’t know, but I know that if there’s a coffee called “Mammoth’s Bow-Chicka-Pow-Pow Blend” I NEED to have it.

Because I have a son who recently started drinking coffee and I can’t manage to keep enough coffee around long enough to be able to enjoy any myself. This can be my secret stash.

As a member of the United States Coast Guard, I start every morning with my french press and could always stand to try new coffee.

I am not normally a daily coffee drinker (mainly because I can’t afford Starbucks every day) but these blends sound really yummy and they just might convince my taste buds to become a daily coffee drinker.

As a native Californian (born in Los Angeles) I would especially LOVE to try their Earthquake Blend. Having been traumatized by earthquakes as a child, I would love to replace those horrific memories with positive ones. Winning these bags of coffee, aside from being totally awesome, would also be therapeutic.

I really enjoy trying new kinds of coffee.
I’m a singing, drumming, leather artist gearing up for my first juried craft show while raising four boys 12 and under who are also singers, drummers, and perpetual merry-mess-makers. My personality is 90% caffeine and by giving me this coffee you would be saving the world from the guaranteed mayhem which would ensue should I be deprived. Nuff said.

My husband and I have only recently begun drinking coffee… thanks in large part to Starbucks and the plethora of coffee kiosks and shops in the Spokane area.
We are now experimenting at home with different blends, different roasts, and different preparations of this incredible caffeine delivery system.
I’d like to try each blend in each of our coffee makers. Moka Pot Espresso maker, Drip coffee maker, French press, and old fashioned stovetop percolator. Oh…and we’ve got a grinder too… so send us the beans! Let the fun begin!

I should win the coffee because I’m finally starting to explore the flavors of different kinds of coffee, rather than reflexively dumping a bunch of cream and sugar and syrups into my morning cuppa. Plus, I live next door to my folks, and my dad is one of the biggest coffee fans ever–so I’d get to share some of my winnings with him!

Coffee is my life. Each weekend morning my wife and I awake to the sweet drip, drip, drip of fine coffee flowing into our Cuisinart. I recently purchased, at Mike’s recommendation, a Black and Decker personal coffee maker that I use at my workplace. I make it a point, each work day, to make a fine cup of quality coffee in my office, in lieu of the crappy coffee that is given away for free. My wife and I have made it a point to try as many different quality coffees that we can find. I am sure that the 6 bags of Newhall coffee will add to our list of fine coffees that we will continue to enjoy.

As a fellow coffee connoisseur, I think I should win because it is important for an honest, professional and discerned palette to give this coffee a try. Besides which, I’m up in Canada so no one can accuse you of favoritism and I haven’t seen this coffee here before and therefor haven’t tried it yet.
And I love coffee and all of it’s beautiful aspects. I also love the fact that Newhall is a small, independent micro roaster and that they gift to charity too.
